  1. Hi all, My display, unfortunately, doesn't support USB-C, which is making it difficult to switch between machines easily. I currently have my desktop hooked up to the display via DisplayPort (On a 6700XT - no USB C on card but there is one on the MB rear I/O) and by USB 3 (A on the desktop 3B on the display). The wireless adaptor for my Mouse and Keyboard are plugged into the display. My second computer (laptop which has USB-C) is currently attached to the monitor via HDMI... I then unplug the wireless adapter and plug it into the laptop which is annoying and almost makes the usb connection between desktop and monitor pointless (its more physically convenient to reach but that's it). How can I streamline these connections so I don't have to keep unplugging things every time I switch? Thanks
  2. Thanks! I thought this might be the term for it but wasn't sure. Are you aware of any third-party solutions? Had a quick google and the closest result that isn't news is the exact opposite of what I want... geo-targeting designed for business markerting
  3. Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or if possible answer are within LTT's forum rules... BUT I'm basically trying to find a way to block people from a particular area (with or without an actual account) from seeing my twitter page. This seems like an odd idea I know, but I don't want to have my account on private because it will (obviously) make my account less visible on Twitter, what I actually want is to somehow be able to block an entire area where I used to live before my new life began because I don't want the reasons I moved to follow me online. If anyone can suggest some work arounds or point me in the direction of someone/where/site that might be able to help, please do. Also apologies again if this is outside of what LTT allows as I'm sure they can't condone something that is almost certainly against Twitter's T&Cs Thanks to any and all!
  4. Hi guys, need a quick answer here for troubleshooting purposes... If a motherboard has NOT had its BIOS updated to support the Ryzen 3000 series, will the motherboard attempt to diplay an error message of some sort or will the screen be blank? Currently trying to get a 3600 to work in a Gigabyte B450M DS3H - I just wanted to test if it would actually turn on (obviously not POST - I had an incompatible mobo before which managed to display an error message back in the Phenom days). So yeah, should I be expecting an attempt at display output or nah? Thanks guys!
  5. Not sure why everyone is saying to get a beefier PSU... the system you've spec'ed won't even consume 200 watts. The PSU you've chosen is more than adequate for that. I run an extremely similar system on a bequiet! 300W TFX PSU. You'll have zero issues unless you try to slap on a GPU later down the line
  6. Funny that, because afaik most surge protectors are not rated to deal with lightning strikes lol
  7. Hi everyone, Today I'm here to speculate about when we might see APUs based on the upcoming Zen 2 architecture. I realise not many here are overly bothered about AMDs APU offerings, but I am. I've always found them interesting and I've been running an A10-7870K for... well, too long now. I would quite like to pull the trigger and upgrade to the 2400G (and all that entails DDR3>DDR4, FM2+>AM4 etc.) however, the looming launch of the 3000 series has made me hesitate. However, given that the first Zen based APUs were the 2200g and 2400g, which were released with the 2000 series (or Zen+), but are actually 1000 series parts with a GPU shoved inside, does the LTT community agree that the first Zen 2 APUs will probably be launched not with the 3000 series, but the speculative 4000 series or (Zen 2+). That said, we may still see a 3000 series APU, although it will most likely be a Zen+ part rather than Zen 2. Of course, I could be entirely wrong, but who agrees with my logic here?
  8. Erm, as far as law goes in multiple nations "hate speech" is NOT "just a term to indicate offensive and derogatory insults"... it goes much further than something being insulting or even grossly insulting. It is defined by intent to incite actual violence against someone or a group and is something on going, not a simple passing comment.
  9. yeah, you're still going to get called a troll because this is stupid comment. Neither the community or his videos have changed... have you not seen his old stuff? It is exactly the same, silly jokes, dropping things, and the occasional bit of tech info. As for your "proof", what proof? How does anything in this thread "prove" Linus is paying for views? Do you actually have any evidence beyond your own dimwitted hearsay?
