Are you using Google chrome? 16 gigs should be plenty. Your cpu world speed is faster than my 4771, but my i7 has the hypertheading. Some would say ht isnt great for games, and yes some games are stuttery when i first load up. All i can say is i would not upgrade. Ive had people tell me to stop using dual monitor if i want the performance i hear about.

Multitasking while gaming is laughable. You're not playing a game and watching YouTube at the same time. I know this, because i laughed at my son dying all the time while looking at the other screen. I ended up taking away his 2nd monitor cause he spent more time watching idiots than realizing he was camping. Also watching other people play games is lqme and of you did that as a kid. 75 hz helps alot in csgo. I think most people get tvs. It's the only way to explain some of those shots. You should get a 32 inch at least. My son uses a 2007 vizio 37 inch. He thinks my asus 28 inch dp is laughable.

Do not get a video card with a 50 in it. The cpu is fine. Very middle of the road right now. A quad core might give you the same performance, and you could probably skimp on the motherboard a little. The ssd is 1 size too small. go with a 240gb ssd. 1tb is fine, but try to go bigger as well. Look on Ebay. Amd can never hold value like intel for some odd reason. Haswell has better used value than ryzen.

Dells can make great transplants. You might need a thermal sensor, Or a fan the motherboard likes. Ive built a few transplants for people. They're all, at least, good enough. Even the outdated stuff like Core 2 quad can be made fast enough.

I hope you pulled the battery out/cleared cmos before you ripped it to pieces.

I went ahead and ordered one. I've got a bunch of junk i want to assemble like a l5639 1366 6c12thr ive got laying around. All i would need is a cheap case, and some more specific ram if the build did ok. I'll throw a gtx 760 on it and hook it up to my tv. Hopefully it won't be junk. I just wanna sell the z400 before it breaks since it's mostly proprietary.

I live in memphis. People are completely illiterate here. There are no custom pc's at the thrift store. I turn all my stuff off when i go to bed, and when I leave. Ive got a biostar board that false boots 1 time so i kinda feel like these are no different from what we are all dealing with when i comes to motherboards not lasting as long as they should.

If you want speed, then you'll need a sata solid state drive, but 32gb of ram would be awesome. I7 3770 is still nice. Get something better than a gtx 1050ti. Gtx 1070 would get you ray tracing. That would be a pretty cool prebuilt. Make sure your bios is up to date.

I'm not seeing x58 boards drop in price like ive seen haswell. I cannot believe how cheap the 1366 chips are, but x58 has proven tech is stagnant. Those boards should be 20 bucks used now.

That budget range you're gonna have to search high and low for 2 core 2 duo prebuilt. They will have to be the e8600 at 3.33ghz or e8400 at 3.14ghz 12mb cache fsb 1333mhz. You'll wish you went core 2 quad. It would take someone not knowing anything to let you get 2 OEM with something that at least has a gtx 645 gpu. If you really luck out you can find 2 older 6c/12thr oem workstations for that price. They will have the ram robbed except for a single 1gb stick, the video card will be swapped for a consumer desktop gpu, and the raid hard drives should be missing. This is your range of realism.

You need no less than 16gb dual channel at the fastest mhz speed it will go, if you want the performance you're looking for. Csgo can be a bit stuttery with all the updates every Wednesday.

Batteries die all the time. I've replaced tons of those batteries over the years.

That's how they get you. People didn't move on to ddr4 like people jumped from ddr1. Tech is stagnant. Some people still use ddr2. If you upgrade now you'll pay 300 to 400 for a 15 to 20 percent performance increase. Increments like that only matter when you're working with some really old tech. Cause the improvement will cost around 20 bucks. Ray tracing/radeon rays is the only advancement. They just keep shrinking technology. That's not a new concept. Gtav is really heavy on the resources. Uprading from a 1060 right would not be worth it. Especially since they just enabled ray tracing on that card.
