You can add them no problem. you can add corsair and Kingston or hynex. as long as the ar the fowling:
1 same DDR type
2 same Volt (1.3 or 1.23 or .1.25 ect)
3 same speed (you can chance in the bios)
 
(ps you cant putt tham in dual channel mode. but that das not really give you a boots in perf any wee)

Its weird what can cause a mobo to not function I had an old socket 775 mobo that didnt work once.
 
Didnt work with aftermarked cooler 1, didnt even work without the backplate
Looked at the socket, a couple of bent pins....fixed that and still didnt work.....
Tried another aftermarked heatsink....didnt work again.....
 
Was about to throw it away....cram a stock heatsink out of the closet and slap it on: everything is fine ............................

On the cs go main menu turn v-sync on and see what the max frame rate goes to. If it goes to 73 then you know the refresh rate is working

Are you an nvidia user? If so go to nvidia control panel and change preferred refresh rate to highest available.
Also right click your desktop, go to change resolution, then go to advanced settings.
Now click the monitor tab and make sure you have your refresh rate selected in the drop down box.
On my monitor i can go through the menus in the osd and see information, which displays current refresh rate.

My monitor displays 60 fps maximum, hence the 60 Hz
 
My game usually runs at 300+ fps, my monitor won't still output those frames, it will output 60.
 
I overclocked my monitor to 76, game still runs at 300+ fps but I have no idea if it's actually outputting that 76. Fps counters won't give me information as it doesn't show the refresh rate of the game, which can still be 60 (apart for BF)
