  1. Good Afternoon all. I was just tinkering my friends PC before she pays for it to take, and saw its not powering on. BUT, the motherboard is recieving some power as there are lights on the PCIexpress locks. I tried to use a screwdriver on the front panel headers but it didnt start up. Any ideas?
  2. Hello guys, so I got myself a Radeon VII yesterday, and have been monitoring its temperature using AMD's monitoring software. BUT, Microsoft keeps popping up with these notifications. Yes, they probably represent the chip's Junction temp, as the one on AMD's monitoring software shows the Edge temp. How do I disable these notifications? if at all possible/recommended.
  3. Okay then, is there a way to mute these windows notifications? Or do i just gotta deal with them?
  4. Hey all! I just got my Radeon VII today, and have been putting it through its paces. BUT, I just played some Division 2 on 4k high, and Microsoft Explorer popped up mid-game and said: "your GPU has hit 96c, prolonged exposure can damage your GPU", but my AMD monitoring software says I'm at 71-ish. Which do I trust?
  5. I got a Radeon VII today, and just put it through some tests. BUT, when i started Division 2, it started to go over 80c, where i undervolted it using GlobalWattman. But, while the AMD overlay says it is around 70 now, CAM software says it hits 86 and so. Which do I believe?
  6. Hey, so I’m repurposing my Alienware x51 for my sister. She wanted to try and game with me but the HDD in it died. So I got a new one & an SSD, and a kit to instal Windows 10 (Yea I paid, Sue me). Anyway, I just tried to instal Windows 10 and this stopcode keeps coming up when I try to boot from usb. It’s the one that follows, and in the photo. stopcode: 0xc0000021a
  7. i'll buy some next paycheck. Thanks.
  8. as I said in the post, I replaced the paste with Thermal Grizzly but kept the fan curve at the default one. I can adjust the curve but I'm just running it through its paces, barely had the card 2 weeks
  9. High temps i can handle. But its probably since i'm using the basic Velocity Fan Curve, not some crazy fast fanspeed.
  10. I have a GTX 1080ti from PNY, the OC triple fan card, and saw its GPU temp hit the mid-upper 80's on average in Divison or Metro games. I applied some Thermal Grizzly and its been stable in the upper 70's, but never went over 81 or 82. Is this a healthy temp or should i think about getting a new cooler?
  11. Oh okay. All I got is CPU paste, some thermaltake stuff. I’ll try and find some Kryonaut and do it this coming weekend.
  12. Lol I tried that. That’s fine, it works, but I was curious. Thanks.
  13. Okay, what kind of paste should I use?? Or Does it even matter?
  14. Okay, just got a notification from CAM (thanks to my Kraken cpu cooler) saying “prolonged exposure is dangerous to GPU performance.” So, just wanted to check. If I do take the card out and clean it (if I have time), what should I do for the chip? Like what thermal paste, does any paste do the job?
  15. So I got a badass deal on a 1080ti saturday ($400 off craigslist) and it’s been goin good, but I just saw it’s temps spike to 80c in 4K ultra when playing The Division. I cranked the fans to 90% speed and it cooled to 74 but I’m wonderinn if this was just a bad cooler or what you all think? It’s my first Triple Fan Card and was wondering what you all thought. Thanks. (Idk if the photo helps. It’s when I got it out of the (funnily) VEGA 64 box and was checking it out.
