I'm thinking about buying this. The title and images say it is a ryzen 7 processor. However, when scrolling down further it says twice that it is a ryzen 5. Does anyone know about this specific model? Thanks. Edit: I'm just going to purchase it and return it if it has the 5.

I'm trying to replace the front panel fan, but I can't remove the front panel mesh foam thingy. I've removed the filter on the bottom of the case and theres a cavity there, in that cavity there should be a sort of tab that you use and then the front panel will pop out. Thing is, I can't find any tab in there, it just feels like a cavity. There is something I can push, but I think it is just the case itself, as when I do push it (which requires a lot of force) the thing just bends a little. Any help? Am I missing something obvious? ps merry christmas

Not related, but I’ve been playing cp2077 on my pc the past couple days and its yet to crash. A couple glitches but none game breaking, just like some dudes walk animation or something being wrong. I have a r5 1600 and gtx 1080 so I’d say it’s playable now

@adarwI wasn't really planning on it, I was more just wondering if I could get the same gpu utilization on medium compared to the gpu utilization on ultra.

as you can see from this picture, the gpu is hovering around 50-60% utilization, and im getting in the 40-50s of fps. I have a 1080 and fully updated drivers and stuff, why is this happening? When i put the setting on ultra, the fps maybe drops like 5 but it stays pretty close to what it was on medium, the only thing is that gpu is being used a lot more. Is there a way for me to get the high utilization of the gpu when the game is on ultra when im on medium so i can get more fps? second image is when its on ultra. I'm not the most experienced with this sorta thing so any help is great. Having the game on like medium/high settings is kinda my sweet spot, because it is a lot less stutter-y, and the game runs at more fps

@Electronics Wizardyi just wanna do it because I save a good bit of stuff in the c drive+nvidia clips which take up tens of gb so it would be nice

I’ve been using a Kingston a400 128gb m.2 ssd for the past couple years but today I got a 240 gb inland 2.5 inch sata ssd for free. I was thinking about moving my os and everything on the Kingston to the inland, but I wouldn’t lose any performance, right? Like @Dar7869said, go into bios and play around with fan curves, or just set them too 100%. Make sure it’s monitoring the cpu temp and not mobo temp, mine defaulted to that

@Somerandomtechyboi I do like playing around with overclocks but even with amds pretty decent stock coolers you can imagine that I can’t really do much with them. Yeah I would like to over clock+ I do think that aios also just look really nice. Silence isn’t a problem with me

Yeah, at 800 dollars you should be getting a nice ssd. Unless you plan on using all that ram (which gaming won’t) you should get 16 gb and grab an ssd

Also, other than a bios update I’d still be able to stick with my current motherboard, right? If a 5600x is not the smartest choice, what less powerful cpu should I get? I don’t want to spend more than about 300 in general. I mainly surf the web, play games (pretty demanding ones at times though) do folding@home and occasionally stream but very rarely. I could also just get myself a nice 2tb nvme ssd.

Stupid question, but I heard someone saying that older models have the not as updated version, without the hero sensor. I'm pretty sure that its not true but I'm thinking of buying used and just wanna make sure

I have an asrock steel legend b450 and 3 drives, a kingston a400 120 gb ssd, a 1tb western digital hdd and a 1tb samsung 860 evo. the 120 gb ssd shows up in bios and then below it it just says disabled. They show up in file explorer and I can download and use them all fine so idk why they are like this.

Oh my god I feel so stupid, it was just because my drawing pen was plugged in and lying on the surface, so it was constantly just telling the pc to go to the top left

Basically every time i try to move the mouse it just constantly jumps to the top left of my monitor, and only sometimes it will stop for a couple of seconds and I can actually click something. It is hell and I wanna fix it. I have a razer basilisk and I've tried my pc with a different mouse and plugging into different usb ports and its the same problem, so I know it is a software issue. My friend has a 1080 and he is planning on getting a 3070 and offered me his 1080 for 300 bucks. I'm pretty sure that this is a good deal but I just wanna double check with you guys because I'm not fully sure. I have a rx590 currently so a 1080 would be a pretty big difference, and my cpu is a R5 1600 (14 nm version). I'd probably get his sometimes around when the 3070 becomes available to buy.

I want a nice AIO under about 100, if the extra like 5 or 10 bucks is gonna blow me away then that's fine. RGB is a plus but performance over looks, and it being more silent is always appreciated. Btw, I'm using AM4 and a fractal design meshify c, I think it is a mid tower atx case? It supports 120, 240, 360, 140, and 280mm rads. If you need, I can provide a pcpartpicker link of my build.
