  1. For anyone that has my problem I opened up an old s2 and got values between 20 and 100mV, somehow I tried mesuring again and got voltages between those values on the tablet and some other random chip that I can't recognize (near the power manager ic) decided to release the magic smoke on me
  2. oh sorry I didn't get the different gpu thing... If you have already tried to ddu the drivers I don't know how to help, this should be a gpu fault, The power supply should be fine
  3. Ryzens don't have graphics unless they are of the g variant, so the motherboard ports don't work at all with x series or just normal processors you are forced to use the gpu outputs, and get an adapter if you need vga
  4. 58C isn't high tough, could that be the vrm temperature? That's still not bad in teory
  5. I used it a lot of time ago but from other forums the solution is to uninstall or to load a default profile(profile section I think), if you can't boot make it fail a few times and boot to recovery then uninstall
  6. Do you need to upgrade? Isn't like the situation with gpus shit and a 2070 plenty? *from a prospective of a person with a 2700x and a 1060 6gb, and plays at 60-100fps on all games maxed at FHD, don't stream tough*
  7. It's not like you're putting some R7 cpu in there, I don't think they cared enough to put a bigger bios chip but on my gaming pro carbon (non max) the bios got super simple (no gui, no mouse, same features) after Ryzen 3000 update, else with a 2700x non oc It's doing fine but that's another price range and power consumption, Maybe check used? Buildzoid seemed to like the non max mobo you found
  8. Have you tried the paperclip method? (turning on psu without nothing attached) Tough when mine failed it simply didn't even want to boot
  9. ---How It happened and the symptoms--- I woke up yesterday and my tablet (ASUS Me175Cg, yes just a bit old) was dead on the floor near my bed, small fall, thick silicone case no visible damage, plugged it into the wall since i thought the battery was flat, no screen signs of life but vibrated as always, few hours later nothing changed and it was still slow charging or something(my usb hub has a lot of coil whine when low current flow), plug into pc it identified as a weird clover something but didn't show in file manager, wifi was off so I didn't know through whatsapp web if it was going ok and I wasn't able to blindly unlock it and turn on volume or something to see if it was the display. ---The troubleshooting--- Upon opening both battery positives were 3.8V so I start doubting the integrity of the lcd and it's ribbon (which is by the way detachable both display and motherboard-side), the display looks ok, the flex cable might have been slighly damaged by me trying to check since it looks like I might have removed some traces via sticky tape(it's yellow but covered on both sides by a grey layer and there was a sticky cover on the connectors, it pealed the on the side and I think I saw the other gray side)... but still what I got on continuity was more than one beep via the same input pad (on different "inputs" btw) and as for voltage one pin in the middle wich was 3,7V(power) and everything else nothing or in the mV on the others while it was in teory booting on the lcd side of the cable (without it) with all the pins that I touched exept 3.7 were on 0 or few mV ...isn't a bit low? Also the resistance at the battery connector is like 250kohm and nothing heated up, there was some weird residue which might be an extremely old spill of coke but cleaning that with IPA dind't change anything I can't manage to find info about what I should've expected and a Multimeter even if not fast enough for digital signals shouldn't care that much even if the screen was black the driver had to recive some stuff, I don't think he is told only the location and color of the changing pixels, the flex is like 15 euros and the whole assembly can be snatched for 30, could try that's not so much but if the board is fried it's fried... but how? from a slight fall? Just a FAQ Why do I care even if most of the files were on the sd card because on 8gb nothing fit(and luckily it acted up a few days earlier so I even did a backup of whatsapp's folder)? well, It's like 8years old, I'm not me without it and It would be cool to get that 10y mark, Am I happy with it as a phone? Not a lot, the main pros are a big screen and the fact that teachers don't care if I use it because they think I it's for class and not as a phone even if I carry his "little" bigger brother(4yrs old) and I tell them it's a phone the cons are a dead battery that I treated well and still lasts a day or two with my use but becomes unreliable under 40%, 1gb of lpddr2 ram an Intel dual core@1,2ghz with 8gb of internal memory and 3g connection that will be discontinued next January.., ah yes 2021 is going to be shit, but 2020 doesen't want to be second Spelling errors and other related stuff English is not my main language and I don't have the keyboard on pc so everything is underlined red, I'm pissed and lazy enough not to be bothered to add it
  10. So I got an Asus x501u for a discount on a pc i sold (30 euros, perfect condition incluing battery and charger) with the following specs: AMD C-60 dual-core @1,2-1,3ghz with integrated HD6290, 2gb Soldered (Ouch, some 501 have dimms, others don't) 320gb HDD running w7 32bit This thing struggles to open tabs in chrome, like I sold to this guy a dc7800 older than this that performs much better. Btw the ram isn't the bottleneck, it's the cpu! Googling this processor up I find out there's a tool called Brazos Tweaker that easily lets me push clocks up to 4ghz without messing with voltages... How legit can this be? The temps aren't there (didn't repaste, normal TDP 9W), the power draw is uknown, HWmonitor shows 4Ghz too and performance seems to have improved to the point 720p60 is doable on youtube with adblocker and not doing anything else For the fun of it I wanted to put Android x86 or some form of linux, new stuff for me that I didn't find has any form of oc program, at the same time if it runs better people might be more interested than a Windows 7 32bit Also the tool doesen't let you go past 4ghz and it seems to be made only for Zancate and Ontario cpus so maybe that's an old exploit or AMD heavily undeclocked the silicon (heated up only 2-3 Celcius, same RPM on fan) Made this post to let people know this exists and maybe ask how legit is this since I'm not very sure
  11. *also me* tries to remove a .py extension an put it into the program as an "image", I'm self learning python and It has some things that just didn't and/or don't make sense to me, I got that it was the simplest programming language a few moments after working with an arduino and swearing because of : that I dodn't write at the end of lines, random uppercases in command names and no suggestion box(the box that pops-up with the possible command that you are writing and let's, autocomplete it and gives some clue about the function of the command). whatever
  12. don't have to ask me but rather the guy that i got this from...Would happily learn opencv but don't have time rn, as for the if statements I've already got that, no need to be pretty and efficent for the moment, would like to not use the same image that is used for more than one character so I can't name them by the characters they express if we really want to simplify the process. well that works...what's up with the extension? guess I'll not discover that today... thank you!
