  1. I don't really have a preference based on battery or weight. My main concern is which one is of better quality so that it will last longer, so I think my focus is on the frame and quality of service/product.

On the other hand, XoticPC allows the buyer to give specific directions, such as having the OS install to the HDD, rather than the SSD, which Eluktronics probably doesn't offer. Though the Eluktronics laptop may cost more, I am more interested in a product that can last a lifetime and generally keep up with the rising standard of computers (aka Moore's Law), so I won't find myself buying another one anytime soon. Which laptop do you think I should get and why?
  3. else statements can not have conditional (boolean) parameters. Only if and else if statements require them. Next of all, the semicolon is causing the compiler to interpret it as a statement, rather than an else block. The syntactically method for fixing your problem would be to do: else if (totalAmountOfHardware <= 50 ) { System.out.println("Here is your total amount with a 12% discount: $" + totalCostOfHardware*.12); } instead. However, your code will not perform any output in the event where totalAmountOfHardware has a value of 51 and higher, so you should probably stick with an else statement: else { System.out.println("Here is your total amount with a 12% discount: $" + totalCostOfHardware*.12); } Or use an else if statement catching values 51 and higher: else if (totalAmountOfHardware > 50 ) { System.out.println("Here is your total amount with a 12% discount: $" + totalCostOfHardware*.12); } or else if (totalAmountOfHardware >= 51 ) { System.out.println("Here is your total amount with a 12% discount: $" + totalCostOfHardware*.12); } Either one will work. You might want to reconsider how you're writing your conditionals as well, such as by using the > and < operators as well, rather than just >= and <=, but of course, it's your call, not mine.
  4. As the owner of a laptop with a 128 GB SSD (C drive) and a 1TB HDD (D drive), I find it rather troubling that I am unable to control the installation locations of numerous programs despite going into the registry editor and relocating the CommonFile and ProgramFile directories to my HDD. Certain applications such as Microsoft Visual Studio and DaVinci Resolve will still install files and SDKs into the SSD despite being directed to install into the desired D drive. Not only so, there are also numerous files and folders unrelated to the OS that are taking up space on the C drive despite my efforts. Is there anyway for me to override these undesired behaviors and make sure that anything not related to the Windows OS is installed into the D drive rather than the C drive? I find it rather irritating that I must worry about whether or not I have enough space to install Windows Updates and other important things that belong in the C drive, as there are rogue and undesired files taking up space.
  5. I've got 70+ tabs open atm. Probably somehow connected to the fact that I have 200+ bookmarks.
