  1. Not quite sure you understood the message here from GN. As a viewer who doesn't watch all videos and WAN shows, I had no idea that benchmarking process is still in its infancy and you cannot apparently trust the results. Considering how you were advertising LTT Labs, I was expecting that the results were going to be as accurate as they can get. Was there a disclaimer that these results might not be accurate? No. Also, if you know that they're might not be accurate due to the fact that you have a new testing process in place, why not double/triple/quadruple check your work? "...a work in progress that is very much not done..." is not a valid argument for putting out misleading information to the public. "...that we've communicated needs to be treated as such" then put out a disclaimer before your graphs or something because not everyone follows LTT all the time. And it kinda baffles me that LTT as seasoned tech reviewers get so much basic info wrong(like the CPU cache one) and this of course leads me into the next paragraph. Give your employees more time to work on each video. No one is asking you to publish so many videos in a week. I'd much rather have fewer videos but with higher attention to detail. And your employees seem to begging for this. When you see everything as: "This extra work hours will cost me extra xxxx$" and start to push things out the door as is, I think that's a really bad signal that your quality is going downhill. Like for example videos/projects with Alex in it. It is a total cringefest 95% of the time and I'm not sure it is the fault of Alex but rather time constraints. It is astonishing how many things you cannot seem to do properly with the amount of tools you and your team have available. Often times it seems "oops, got the wrong thing, no time - lets flex tape this shit together and hope we don't kill expensive hardware" or something along these lines. Many of these crazy "science" projects could be so much more interesting and entertaining if done properly... I have watching you for like 11 years now(off and on but still). For results accuracy for last few years I've been turning to GN because it is just amazing how much attention to detail they give to this rather boring stuff. LTT is starting to feel like Top Gear/Grand Tour. Its supposedly a tech channel but for entertainment. Now when you have started to market yourselves as being extremely accurate and getting so many things wrongs its getting kind of concerning.
  2. Well, I was going for 27, 1440p 120hz+ within 400$ and most of these were either not available or had some sort of big con. Anyway, I just checked and somehow one of my local stores got 1 M27Q-P apparently in stock so I ordered it and I'll see if they can actually deliver it. Also, according to rtings M27Q isn't that bad at native scaling regarding text clarity and not bad at all with cleartype so that would fit me but what's even better news is that apparently M27Q rev 2.0 has RGB pixel layout and should perform just as well so I'll probably just order the M27Q if the P variant isn't available.
  3. Ok...Basically the only 2 decent options are M27Q and 27GP850? Cause everything else I've been looking at seems to be worse than either of these 2. Yeah, This would be a great option however I can't find it in stock anywhere in EU.
  4. Sadly M27Q-P is not available where I live, says out of stock everywhere. The MSI one is more like 500$ in EU and can't find m27t20 Hmm, to me it seems that 27GP850-B seems to be almost worse in everything except for text clarity when compared to M27Q when comparing them in rtings. Like less contrast, less bright etc. Or in reality that wouldn't be noticeable?
  5. So I'm trying to choose a monitor with 400$ budget. My requirements are 1440p, 27-32in, at least 120hz monitor. Main uses are gaming and work(Mostly working with spreadsheets and translating documents). So far googling the best options, it seems that I've landed on GigaByte M27Q however people say that this monitor won't have the best text clarity which kinda makes it problem. Is it really that bad? What other decent options do I have?
  6. I dunno, Im kinda not pushing for OLED right now. I know it looks great but I'm a little suspicious about the cheaper OLED models as I don't want it get the burn in. The problem with looking at rtings is that there is way to many tv models or EU just has different naming for some. And I did look at some of the "Best TVs under....". Your technique is not that different from mine. The problem for me with this approach for TV shopping was that a lot of options were left out so that kind of frustrated me.
  7. Hmm, in EU TCL apparently has a different naming scheme. One that seems to be around my price range is 65P731. I mean ok, Im not in a hurry to buy a new tv as I have a lot of other expenses for the house this year but I'm just getting annoyed by my current tv right now. So not sure if I'll be able to wait for q4
  8. Thanks, these seem to be within my price range. Or at least the Q70 does and it has a more suited stand for me.
  9. Well, the issue I have with this approach is that I dont think there aren't that big strores in my country anymore. Like everything has moved online. The have a few TVs but not many on display.
  10. My main TV usage is just watching movies/shows through Jellyfin and most of that is 1080p, occasional YT video. I do 0 gaming on the TV.
  11. Yeah...I know but I rather just buy oled after a few more years when they get cheaper. + Id end up with 2 tvs
  12. Hi, So I'm looking to buy a tv, preferably 65in, budget max 700-800$. But I started looking and there's like 10 different samsung models alone not to mention other brands. How does one choose a tv? Obviously not all of the are not reviewed so I'm kinda at a loss. I'd prefer android tv but image quality is more important, can always buy a android stick later. Do you people have any suggestions here? Keep in mind that Im still running a 43in plasma from like 2009 so anything will be an improvement :D Thanks!
  13. So I have narrowed it down to 3 options: B550 Aorus Elite V2 - 116euros B550 MSI Gaming Plus - 120euros B550 MSI Tomahawk - 150e locally I will be running 5800x so from VRM standpoint I guess it doesn't matter that much? Its hard to OC it anyway since the damn thing runs ridiculously hot in stock form. I really I don't have a use for 2.5g ethernet ports however the Gaming Plus has ALC897 vs ALC1200 on other 2 boards so I think personally that's driving me away from the gaming plus. However recently a lot of people have said to avoid GigaByte stuff so I don't know. I kinda don't want to spend more than I need to so I'm unsure whether the Tomahawk is worth the extra 30 euros. I could get it for 130e from poland but thats 400km problem if I need to RMA it. So which one should I buy? Are there any other alternatives to this price point?
  14. Thanks, had forgotten about the C Mini. Seems like a decent choice. Thanks, Looks really good. Little on the expensive side for me but I'll keep it in mind
  15. Since I just got a 5800x to replace my 3600x and I'm gonna build a "new" pc for my sis around the 3600x and my old mobo(B450m mortar max) I'm looking for a decent looking mini tower/mATX case. I kinda don't want to get a mid tower/atx case cause I believe it looks a little stupid. Either needs to be mesh or glass front cause she likes rgb stuff. Also there's kinda option B if I don't find any matx cases I like - Give her my current https://genesis-zone.com/product/irid-503-argb case and get myself b550 atx board and case.
  16. Well, turns out you were right, bought a 15e cable instead of the 6e one and it finally works. This is retarded
  17. Update: Switched to GTX 660 for testing and both monitors work. One is still on DP->DVI cable and the other one is on HDMI. Just wtf is going on...
  18. Searching on google it appears that Nvidia has had similiar problems uhh, I don't have 2 DP cables, only one. However, none of the monitors work in windows on DP with the drivers installed.
  19. Ok, so I am getting quite frustrated and mad at manufacturers for using the stupid displayport so much because it appears that it's causing quite a lot of trouble. I upgraded from R9 280x to 5500XT and the GPU has 3xDP and 1xHDMI ports. I have 2 monitors. One is connected using a regular HDMI port and it works. The other one is connected using DisplayPort ->DVI cable because the monitor is old. The monitor on HDMI only works in windows when the drivers are installed. The monitor on DisplayPort works in BIOS, windows boot screen and when the GPU drivers are NOT installed. They never work together. When the drivers are installed, windows only detects one monitor. I have been trying countless solutions found on google but none of them work. The only thing I quite have not tried is to reinstall windows in UEFI mode because for some reason the bios was defaulted to CSM and I installed windows that way. Uninstalled old drivers using DDU in safe mode and installed newest drivers found on AMD website... Anyone got any other solutions?
  20. If you can afford 5900X, go for it. Its just as good for gaming if not even better and definitely better at pretty much everything else
  21. Honestly I don't know, I would probably start raising the cpu clock slowly, then stress test it for a short while and if its stable, then increase the clock.
  22. Honestly, I would not try overclocking on that motherboard. It has pretty weak VRM with no cooling at all. I mean you can try raising your clocks on the stock voltage but thats about it.
