  1. So, in a real scenario, they'd perform the same. You can't perceive any difference.
  2. I got a couple of questions. I got a Ryzen 5 2600x, want to pair it up with some better ram. Firstly, is there a big difference between a CL15 and a CL14 kit? Talking about G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200Mhz CL15 (F4-3200C15D-16GVR) and G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200Mhz CL14 (F4-3200C14D-16GVK). The CL14 one is 25$ more expensive. Is it worth it? I mean, i know they're both B-die and imho it shouldn't matter that much. I've read that speeds/frequency is for gaming and latency is for editing/rendering/etc. Is that true? I'm interested in gaming only. I only play some games, like 2-4 hours a day and watching movies in the rest of my spare time. So i don't use my pc as a workstation whatsoever. And secondly, on my current B450-F Gaming mobo bios i can select ram speeds up to 4000, even tho' on the asus website it states it can run only up to 3200 (O.C). If i get a 3400 ram kit, will that work at rated 3400 speeds??
  3. Yeah, my bad, I forgot to specify that i can return it. I won't spend as much in the bios as a serious overclocker. Just to get the ram to the specified speeds and to adjust the voltages offset for the PBO. Thank you for your answer and time.
  4. I got no idea what you're talking about. I'm running latest bios, i got no issues, except maybe the CPU is a little hot. I get that PBO is not a god, but for someone who doesn't want to manual OC, it's good. And this b450-f has bad reviews all over the place, especially on the VRM side. What wrong with getting the Taichi or the Hero? I can still get a refund from my b450-f (a full one) and for 15 extra bucks, i get either the Taichi or the Hero.
  5. Ok, but if i don't OC, i just want PBO running, which one should i get from those two? Feature wise, taichi seems better.
  6. The Crosshair VI Hero is x370. I considered that. Also, the x370 Taichi from asrock is at the same price as the Hero. Should i switch?
  7. Well, i'm a newbie to this. I just assumed the X's are better. I don't care how they're called, sincerely. I just want something stable without spending as much.
  8. Yeah, but they'll be expensive when they do come out and since i don't game that much or intensively, i don't wanna spend that much money.
  9. I'm looking to upgrade the mobo for my 2600x (currently running asus b450-f gaming). And man, all the reviews and opinions are so frickin' all over the place, this is harder than i ever thought. I first settled on the Crosshair VI Hero, but i've read that latest bios doesn't support PBO settings. All i want is a good VRM, support for my G.Skill Ripjaws V F4-3200C15D-16GVR, PBO working properly and to be able to change the voltage offset, since the stock one is usually too high. I'm looking at budget motherboards, like Gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING or MSI X470 GAMING PRO and the Crosshair (which i like best). These 3 are in the same price range for me. I can't buy from amazon or newegg or other sites like that. Can i get any recommendations?
  10. Yeah, it's the PBO doing its thing. I guess i got nothing to worry about.
  11. Yeah, i'll buy the KFA, keep them both to test out the differences and if it's just that 1-3 fps, i'll just refund the strix. Someone said that strix isn't worth it for lower end cards. You pay way too much for them.
  12. It doesn't. Even with prime95, i get around 80-85c. But i know that's not a realistic test. In gaming, i don't go over 67-68c, no matter what i play. It's just idle, it stays at 42c, 7-8 seconds later, jumps to 52, then slowly comes back down, and keeps doing that forever. I'll get an aftermarket cooler anyway. And i'm gonna change the mobo, that'll help with temps as well.
  13. That's not an issue. It'a a big retailer. You got 30 days and they do a full refund if the card doesn't have issues (i mean if you didn't break it). It doesn't matter if you used it. I'd get the same price i paid for it. Been using the store for over a decade. And i know that the prices are high, that's cause i'm in europe. Even if i'd want to get another card from amazon or whatever, with the shipping fees that i pay, i'd end up at the same price point plus the waiting period for it to arrive. And a 1070 is over 450$ here at the moment. Built a budget gaming pc, couldn't afford a 1070, i'll probably upgrade later this year.
  14. It's a local store from my country. Well, my budget didn't allow me for a proper aftermarket cooler for my cpu, so i'd spend the extra money on that. I just don't want to see a 10 fps drops in games with the KFA.
