I Am The Stig's Achievements

  1. I wasn't nervous as I had purchased most of my parts from microcenter. I just didn't want to drive an hour if something went wrong.
  2. I can confirm that ASIC quality is a load. My RMA replacement has a higher ASIC score than my old card and it overclocks worse than it. I'm actually going to send my RMA replacement back.
  3. Just as someone who works there I can attest to that haha. It's honestly a beautiful city at night, but I hate it during the day.
  4. They're two different laptops made for two different things, pick the one that suits your needs better. If you want portability then get the MacBook. If you want something not as portable but geared towards gaming, get the Asus.
  5. IMO it's a good business decision for manufacturers to produce RGB motherboards (*ahem* ASUS *ahem*). Manufacturers can grab that sale that might have off put a buyer from buying that motherboard because it was all red as opposed to a color they want to match their system.
  6. Is it true about the G1's coil whine? I heard that there's quite a bit of it.
  7. I mean you could wait for AMD or you could buy the 980ti now and return it if the 300x series sounds more appealing
  8. I'm in the same boat. Thing is I'm gonna wait til the aftermarket ones come out so hopefully that'll buy me some time. Gonna be working dat OT this week now.
  9. I'm looking at picking one up now, but I'm gonna wait to see if any aftermarket cooler ones become available (esp. if they make a Gigabyte G1 version). In which case I'm going to try to sell my G1 GTX 970 for $300 to any fellow enthusiast. $350 listing on ebay lol.
  10. So really as Linus said, it's pretty much "Do I want a 970 or a 980Ti?" I can't see anyone buying a 980 or a Titan X after this card.
  11. 7/10 Can you squeeze more out of that i7? Also I'd try upgrading your PSU as well. Specs in sig
  12. Welp, got my CPU stable at 4.5 ghz @ 1.25v. Is that too high?
