There's quite a few options that I'm seeing over on mechanicalkeyboards.com. A lot of them don't necessarily have the correct labels, but it seems most of them can be reconfigured in software to be standard media keys, just find one you like and make sure it has the features you want. Welcome to the forums.

    Hello everyone,

Going forward, we will be locking the “LMG Sponsor Complaints” thread. Instead, sponsor complaints can be posted as individual, standalone threads in the LMG Sponsor Discussion subforum.

Please follow these steps when making complaints regarding sponsors.

    Create a New Thread.

Title of the post/thread should be “[Name of Brand] - [Summary of Complaint]”
The brand should be a current sponsor.

Did this issue happen to you or someone else?

    Describe your issue.

Have you tried solving your issue through the brand’s customer support channels? If so, what was the result?

What would an ideal resolution of your issue look like? Please include any supplementary photos to add context and clarity.

The reason for the change came after asking ourselves what we believed the thread was for, as well as wanting to keep things a bit organized. In short, our job here is to ensure the brands we work with look after our community.

We aim to work with the best brands that we can. However, that doesn’t mean we agree with every single employee, policy, or action from that brand. We are not the moral overseers of the tech world. For example, if Apple approached us with a sponsorship for ShortCircuit, we would be open to it, despite having issues with their business model in the past (Eg. Their right to repair policy).

We want to keep the focus on helping our community members reach resolutions with sponsors they may have problems with. This means keeping a focus on those that are customers of brands we work with. We also want to make sure that the proper channels have been followed before coming to us for assistance.

This new formatting will add clarity and help us keep track of problems on a brand by brand basis. This makes it easier for account leads to reference issues when we talk with our brands. It allows us to direct our contacts to one spot to assist where they can, while we monitor the conversation so we can monitor until we see the brand find a solution we find reasonable.

When we work with brands, our scripts and talking points must properly portray a product. If the product is something that you do not like or wish to purchase, that is totally up to you. If enough people aren’t interested and don’t buy from a sponsor, they won’t want to work with us in the end anyway. Being disinterested in a product does not merit a post in this subforum.

Our goal has never been to burn bridges with brands. Just because we’ve stepped away from sponsors doesn’t mean we’ve cut communication with them. We believe it’s beneficial for everyone if we work with the brand to fix whatever it was that made us step away from them. Some things we know take more time, such as full-on platform changes or reworking customer support systems. We care more that the brand is doing right by its customers and striving to fix issues, rather than “fix it now.” If we see enough improvement from a brand, we are open to resuming partnership with them. Our company isn’t perfect, and our brand partners aren’t always perfect. We care more about seeing improvement, and our partners taking care of the community.

The purpose of this update is to clarify what the Sponsor Complaints thread is for and to cut down on posts that make it harder for us to help you. This board is a place for problems and solutions. To reiterate what Colton’s original post on the thread says:

“This thread is focused on sponsor complaints related to personal product purchases, or first-hand experiences with one of LMG’s active sponsors. We will make every effort to help address these issues, but please note that we can’t respond to and help with everything, and some resolutions will take significant amounts of time to resolve.

While LMG greatly appreciates and respects community input, we reserve the right to partner with the companies we feel right promoting. We'd like to thank everyone for all the support.”

Any posts that do not follow the guidelines outlined in this post are subject to removal.

The FAA tests are fairly easy to take, multiple choice questions with only 3 answers to pick from. You don't need to pay for anything as the FAA has created a free study guide for exactly what you're looking for. If you really want to pay for something, ASA makes great study guides and it's 10 bucks for the e-book.
    https://www.faa.gov/sites/faa.gov/files/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/remote_pilot_study_guide.pdf.

As far as the regulation side of it goes, 14 CFR Part 107 is what you'd be delving in to. It goes in to detail on everything you would need to follow. I know aircraft are recommended to stay at least 2000 feet above wildlife zones and national parks, but I'm sure it's different for a small drone, just double check the regulations.

Just follow that checklist that you linked to and you'll be good to go.

Arrowhead devs have stated that the anti-cheat is only active while the game is running. I'm pretty sure this is the case with EAC and BattleEye as well. Yeah, they add another attack vector that can be exploited.. but so does everything you install on your computer

It's definitely not a bad UPS. I basically have the APC equivalent for power consumption and it's come in handy quite a few times already since I've lost power and was able to shut my PC down normally. I did a lot of research (probably ran into the same dilemma too) when I bought mine and just elected to go with the APC brand, although I don't think either one is a bad choice.

I have that exact model, quite happy with it.

Keep in mind, a UPS's job isn't to run your electronics when there is no power for extended periods of time, its to prevent damage due to power loss so you can safely shut down equipment and ride out small dips. If you need extended runtime with no mains power you need a generator.

yeah $$$. No difference in performance. All 4000 cards are virtually identical performance within their model type, there is no variance, just a bit of temps and fan noise.

Generally they are all fine, just go with the cheapest one, or the one you like visually more but not more then 20-40$.

m1lk3y got a reaction from Eigenvektor in Has Anyone Received a CableMod Recall Notification Email?
Considering CableMod made the effort to file a claim with the CPSC, I doubt their intention is to keep their fingers crossed that people won't follow through with getting a replacement for their right angle connectors. It's a fire hazard and I doubt that CableMod wants to be the ones responsible for replacing an entire PC, much less an entire house if a fire happened to go that far. They've got a big red banner on the home page of their website telling people about it too. But who knows...

I believe that's been in the works and from what I saw on J2C and GN the other day it's official now and published on the CSPC website so hopefully my question/title changes and something comes out soon in the form of an email 🙂

I completely agree, my hope is some bulk email comes out soon now that it's been officially filed through the government agencies but the recall notice has been on their site for a bit so one would generally expect at least some cursory email by now. I'm still hopeful they do send out the email but I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten one to date.

Agreed but I've triple checked the email tied to the order and nothing. I got the confirmation email after submitting my refund request the other day but never anything from them about the recall so far.

Double check all the simple stuff if you haven't already as well. Make sure you have drivers installed, I would recommend getting them from nvidias website. Also double check the game isn't trying to run on integrated graphics instead of the actual GPU.
