I wanted to enable Windows BitLocker encryption on my OS drive C:
To start with, I contacted my motherboard support via ticket system and they advised me to purchase a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) from online retailer since it is not available in my country. However, the reviews of the module I found was negative and claim that the module is not recognized by both BIOS and Windows. Then, I searched for another solution and I found that my motherboard chip z270 support Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) which according to a website that "PTT enables low-cost and low-power devices to support the same root of trust concepts enabled by hardware-based TPM. Furthermore, it supports all of Microsoft’s requirements for firmware Trusted Platform Module".
Firstly, I enabled secure boot and disabled CSM support on BIOS. Secondly, I converted my drive from MBR to GPT. Thirdly, I added an administrator password to access the BIOS. Moreover, I enabled Intel PTT and saved the settings.
Unfortunately, even with Intel PTT enabled and the section of "Trusted Computing" is set to "Security Device Support: Enabled" it is still showing "NO Security Device Found". The same for Windows BitLocker, it shows "This device can't use a trusted platform module ..."
