I had the Dell g16 with a 1060. This is the laptop I referred to as breaking my back. I replaced it with a lighter non gaming lenovo laptop. The newer laptop was quite literally lighter than just the charger of the g16. (Both the laptop and charger combined lighter). 
 
Even if you get a gaming laptop I do not recommend anything bigger than 13-15 inches ideally.

I was looking for a laptop that I could use while in Uni for my major (comp sci) and gaming on the side, came across this. It’s $800 on Amazon. I have heard Acer is hit or miss with their laptops, would this be a good purchase?

yeah it means the Base and the Boost clocks are slightly higher than they would be if it were a stock 1650.

Yes OC stands for overclocked, and it's a higher SKU, but because of GPU boost it'll perform within margin of error of the non-OC parts. GPU boost basically overclocks the cards automatically and you can't disable it, so really it doesn't matter.

Totally possible. Server doesn't really need a GPU, iGPU is just fine. 8 GB RAM should be plenty for a CSGO server. But as @GDRRiley said, stable Internet is key.

For a gaming PC there's not a reason to have more than 16GB. What's the PC for?
 
I noticed in your sig you have a 1060 3gb, why not spend the money that would go towards ram on a new GPU instead?

i meant even 4k rendering doesnt need 64gb and if its gaming even 8 gigs would enough tho. yeah just go with gpu like RTX SUPER
