No bracket in the box unfortunately, was one of the first things I checked. Can't seem to find the linked on Amazon UK unfortunately, but I will keep looking

Hi all, Looking for a bit of a hand. I recently build a PC for my dad, and didn't consider that the network card I bought would have a bracket that was too big for the case I bought, so I need to find a new one. Hi all, Have just started building a PC to be used for work (no gaming), and have run into a small potential issue. I have an Asus Prime-B450M-A II motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3400G, and a Be Quiet SFX power 2 400W power supply. The MoBo has an 8-pin CPU connector, while the PSU only has a 4-pin. Will this be an issue? I know there are adaptors that I can use but I don't know if they're worth it (like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Akasa-AK-CBPW10-15BK-Power-Supply-Adapter/dp/B0051Y0B0Y), or if I can just plug it straight in? PC will only be used for general bits, internet browsing and office, so no overclocking or anything like that, just turning on XMP to get the 3200 MHz the RAM can output. Looking to buy new only, and in the UK. 1080 is out of my price range (£350 ish) so looking at the 2060 as it's cheaper than the 1070Ti for similar performance. As you said, looking for a dual/triple fan but beyond that, unsure as to which is best. Cheapest I have found is ZOTAC at this point.

Looking to buy an RTX 2060 to go along with a new build, are any better clear winners when it comes to Gigabyte, ASUS, ZOTAC etc, or is it best to go for the cheapest option?

Definitely a strong foundation to work from here, only a few small changes to integrate RGB and stuff like that! And potentially making the CPU unlocked, which I am guessing is the 2600X?

Ok so lots of info (I am reading but it's taking me a while) So update on my side of things: No longer a need for an internal optical drive which is positive, a lot more case options. Does want to have the ability to stream and potentially edit videos. Will be sticking to 1080p dual-monitor, as opposed to 1440p. Things like the SSD, wants the quicker speed and happy to give up size for it. Still wants to work with the red/black colour scheme and likes the little rgb touches on RAM etc. Looking to keep as close to the £1200 budget as possible, with slight flexibility, which isn't including any kind of peripherals. So having said all of the above, main parts we're still unsure about would be the CPU & MoBo, GPU and PSU for somewhere in the realms of £800. @TH3R34P3R Nothing has been purchased yet no, we're just looking into things and seeing what the craic is before buying and building. Been working within a black and red colour scheme, whcih is why we chose the specific motherboard, cooler and WiFi card etc.

@mxk. He might do some coding but honestly not sure, I think it'll mainly be gaming. Potentially open himself into streaming in future but it's early days and he's currently gaming on his macbook so it could go any which way from here. I think 1440p is unlikely, it'll probably be closer to running dual 1080p. Left the option to overclock in there as it's something he wants to be able to have the option to try. What kind of air cooler did you have in mind? And pcpartpicker.com doesn't have some of the parts mentioned so no luck there. @SupaKomputa What makes the 9600k a bad option? Personally only have experience with intel which is why we originally went that way.

Helping out a friend of mine build his first PC, budget of somewhere around the £1000-£1200 mark. This is what we have so far, which is sat just shy of £1100: CPU - Intel I5-9600K Motherboard - ASUS ROG Z390-H GPU - MSI GTX 1060 6GB RAM - Vengeance 2x8Gb (RGB) CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Evo 212 Black (RGB) PSU - Corsair TX750M SSD - Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 256GB HDD - Seagate BarraCuda 2Tb (256MB Cache) CASE - Sharkoon AI7000 Glass (red) OPTICAL DRIVE WiFi - ASUS AC56 Still very unsure as to which GPU to go for, considering waiting for the 1160 depending on release date. Going to be gaming on it but nothing overly strenuous and most likely only in 1080p, maybe 1440p. Any input would be welcome! Thanks!

There is the option of buying an RGB controller kit such as this one https://www.nzxt.com/products/hue-plus Mounts in a 2.5" drive bay and is run by it's own software, powered from a molex and connects to your MoBo via USB 2.0. No doubt there are others similar to this that work in a similar way.

@LukeSavenije I know I can use a USB drive, but I was just looking to exhaust the internal options before going down that route as I'd like to keep ££ to a minimum. Appreciate the help though!

@GER_T4IGA Not a bad option, hadn't seen it anywhere before, although the lack of a PSU shroud knocks it down slightly. Definite consideration though. @LukeSavenije Neither of those you mentioned have support for an optical drive, so not an option for me.

Looking to upgrade my case that I've had for several years now, while not changing my system. Needs to support ATX motherboard, with a PSU shroud, and preferably, I'd like a window. Having a little trouble finding a case at a reasonable price point, that aesthetically isn't vulgar, that has Optical Disk Drive support.
