  1. I'm glad i could help ? Reading your troubleshoot, I could clearly see I went through the exact same trouble myself. I also thought "how could this be the solution, that sounds sort of far fetched ?" A good question. For someone with more knowledge to answer.
  2. Just don't overthink it, and go with EK water blocks. They also have an online tool to check block compatibilities prior to purchase: Here's a link (GPUs are on the right hand side)
  3. Hi, I had something pretty similar happening to me (buzzing sounds for a couple of seconds, full system freeze for a couple of seconds, audio disconnect/reconnect notices...). I have 1 SSD + 2HDDs in my setup. I smashed the Gremlin (?) by disabling an option putting an HDD to sleep by default after 20min of inactivity. I switched it to "never". Perhaps that could also work for you.
  4. Now THAT's what I call a tower ?
  5. Hello everyone, I am very excited as this is my very first post on the forum, and basically, last time I ever posted anything online was over a decade ago. Consequently to my last desktop upgrade, I have been advised by some friends to share it online, and, believe it or not, the idea has found its way here This build all started in early 2017, and it has a backstory. I would like to share it briefly with you all: I started watching LTT and Jayztwocents videos back in 2013, and had a super crappy setup back then (E5700 pentium + GTS 450 in a 10+ year old case etc.) that I did not build myself, I had a computer shop build it for me years before. Month after month, video after video, I discovered the world of building a PC, and got introduced to watercooling before I knew it. I then planned a dream setup, call-sign "Project Architeuthis" (that's the scientific name for the giant squids no one has actually directly seen, as it is elusive). When early 2017 arrived, I felt fully ready to build my own system from scratch (and had the money for it), so I did it. To minimize screw-ups, I bought mostly used parts online (scrapyard wars way, basically) and a few new ones. Architeuthis was born, I sub-called it type-α (alpha), and the setup was: FX-8350 16Gb DDR3 GTX 780 Poseidon 2x SLI MSI 970 gaming mb Silverstone 1500w PSU Custom watercooling (blue theme, blue liquid, blue RGB setup) 1x 250Gb SSD 1x 2Tb SSHD Early 2018, it was time to stop fooling around and get serious. Full new setup, no more used parts (I resold all of them online). Architeuthis skyrocketed to type-Δ (delta). Core i7 8700K ASUS MAXIMUS X Formula 2x 8Gb Trident Z @ 3600mhz GTX 1080ti Gigabyte Waterforce WB Silverstone 1500W PSU Custom watercooling (red theme, red liquid, red RGB setup) 1x 250Gb SSD 1x 2Tb SSHD About a couple of weeks ago, it was time for type-Σ (sigma). Upgrades are: added an extra 2Tb HDD + delidded CPU + added a USB to motherboard splitter. I also finally bought a monitor worthy of the setup: AOC AGON AG352UCG6 ultrawide 35" 3440x1440 @ 120hz (in replacement of the simple 1080p 60hz I used to have) Core i7 8700K (now delidded and overclocked @ 5.1Ghz) ASUS MAXIMUS X Formula 2x 8Gb Trident Z @ 3600mhz GTX 1080ti Gigabyte Waterforce WB Silverstone 1500W PSU Custom watercooling (red theme, red liquid, red RGB setup) 1x 250Gb SSD 1x 2Tb SSHD + 1x 2Tb HDD + AGON 35" monitor Here are a few pics I took while maintaining the watercooling a few weeks ago, and delidding the CPU while at it. I built and painted the desk myself back in 2017. Feel free to share your thoughts, positive or not !
