  1. Thank you for your information, really helps. I'll keep this in mind when getting new motherboards in the future!
  2. oh crap didn't realize it will be worse with my 8700k, does it damage the CPU? and what should i look for in motherboards in the future? as in which spec should i or how can i check on if the VRM would not be able to handle the CPU?
  3. What else could a bad VRM do to affect the pc? i7-8700k is paired with my asrock board atm my bro if i remember correctly it's i5-9500f that is paired with the z390
  4. My Specs I7 8th Gen 1080ti ASROCK H310-HDV/M.2 specs MOBO My bro's Specs I5 9th Gen 1660ti Gigabyte z390 MOBO
  5. Hi everyone, I intend to swap my brother's motherboard and mine as I intend to upgrade my ram and apparently my current board doesn't support more than 2666MHZ of ram but my bro's motherboard does. (Ram im upgrading to is 3200Mhz, shouldve checked it at first lol) but yeah If i were to swap motherboards do I need to fresh install windows or is it okay to keep the drives the way it is? As i am going to just swap the motherboards and all the other components are not gonna be swapped TIA!
  6. Budget (including currency): SGD Country: Singapore Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3D Rendering, Motion Graphics, Gaming and Livestreaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Currently the total cost of this build is 7k but I would like to know if I could spend less at the same time maximizing the performance still
  7. By the way guys, is it possible that the ssd couldve caused like audio glitches when playing youtube videos? or gaming in general and also sometimes when i game i get blue screen and it shuts down, same as when playing youtube videos or browsing videos in general. Am wondering to see if my ssd is the only issue lol bc i realised there are audio glitches as well could RAM be part of the problem as well? TIA!
  8. I see, thanks for your input! Guess i'll be getting a new SSD soon
  9. Hey guys so on certain days my pc would boot up just fine but at some days my SSD would not be detected and will direct me to windows repair and i will have to restart the pc, go through my bios settings and swap around my main drive with a random slot and then swap it back to default and reboot the pc and it will detect and boot as per normal again. Anyone knows what is the issue? Could it be that my mother board or SSD connections itself has issues? What can I do to prevent this from happening? TIA!
  10. Figured it out, i got an answer from another post of mine to check my HDR through windows settings and disabled that. It's all back to normal now! > Windows Settings > System > Display > Turn of HDR
  11. DUDE YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER OMG I THOUGHT MY GPU WAS DONE FOR MAN I LOVE YOU
  12. Hey guys, I have an issue with my GTX 1080ti, I was playing a Gundam Evolution when suddenly the PC shuts down and boots itself again but then showed a washed out screen. I've tried disconnecting the GPU and connect my HDMI cable directly to my mobo to see if my monitor was the issue but it wasnt, the colors went back to normal. I resit the GPU and connected my HDMI cable in again and still the same washed out screen appears. I went to Nvidia's Control Panel to change the color range to full and it did not do anything. (Following the tips online for those who encountered washed out issues) What could possibly be the issue? Is it possible that my GPU overheated and caused the pc to shut down? My GPU is damaged after the overheating incident? Or could it be that my PCIE slot i giving out? TIA
  13. added some edit in the post itself hopefully i can get an answer :') i hope my gpu isint dying after 4 years
  14. Yes i have tried to connect it to my motherboard, and it went back to normal. I did a resit of my gtx 1080ti and the washed out screen came back. could it be possible that my gpu is dying or smth?
