  1. I'm expecting the answer to no, but I've been looking at the HTC U19e, however it isn't supported here in the USA (coverage wise) . I was wondering if I could take out the 4g module from the phone and replace with on that supports my region.

Got it, I've seen modded game cubes, never a Wii though. Is there even hardware that will fit into that case?

I've done the measurements and looked up the dimensions of the wii u and the parts. Theoretically, it should fit. Ive thought of using an intel NUC Board so then i can cram a gtx 1650 or something, but I have no way of connecting the GPU and the board.

Why don't you use a regular sized 5.25" blue-ray drive? The drive you have selected is meant for laptops. If you really want that thing, you need a smiline SATA adapter. You can get them for about 10 usd on amazon.

Beware though you may not be able to mount that drive inside your case as it probably won't have the right holes.

I'm trying to build a mini pc so thats why.

  4. So my family still uses dvds and stuff and i want to build them a pc with a bluray drive, however I'm having trouble finding the correct cable to use it. PCPartpicker says to have a slimline sata to sata adapter, however, they don't look like they would fit into the motherboard of choice. can someone help me?

  5. So I've been looking into building my own smartphone as a fun little DIY Project. I'm willing to learn everything necessary to build it. I was wondering where the best place to find parts and  how to build one. I understand Some might say this is a dumb idea, but I'm willing to do it.

    Display capture?

And why OBS? Just use Handbrake to cut out the parts you need.

You could just edit the video instead? Try Shotcut.

If you're trying to record a movie from Netflix, keep in mind they thought of people doing this.

If you screen record Netflix (or screenshot it), it will show a black screen (it will still show the subtitles though).

You're gonna have to get the movie in a legal way (preferably in an easy to rip way, like a downloadable DRM free file or disc version you can rip (so likely not Blu-ray)) and use the footage that way.

Of course only under the whole "Fair use for education use" part.

The film I'm trying to get footage of is Bilal: A New Breed of Hero, which I bought from the Google Play Store so I could watch it on my phone.

  7. So I was looking at the ASUS ROG Phone 2 and a lot of reviews kept complaining about not having VoLTE and saying that this phone can't used next year. Can someone explain this to me because I have never heard of this and what phones support VoLTE if this is the case.

  8. So I want to get a Huawei Phone because of the great cameras, battery life, and I also feel bad for the Huawei with the whole US Ban incidnt. I'm stuck between 2 phones, the Mate 20 Pro, or the P30 (Non Pro varient). Which one should I pick up? I want the 20 for the reverse wireless charging, 40 Watt charging, and the curved display, but the headphone on the P30 though (I have a Google pixel Dongle already).

All of them should be fine. The 30 pro isnt out yet but unless there is an actual block from google (even then someone will probably find a way around it). Rooting and downloading gapps isnt difficult if you have to have them.

Whats the best way to get Google apps safely without viruses and such?

Take the Mate 10 and realize it already has Google apps preinstalled and there is nothing the orange man can do about it

Also no one cares who the brand targets, you decrepit old man. Apple is an idiot targeted company by the way.

I'm 16. Also, I know Apple is directed towards people with limited technological knowledge. Apple in my opinion isnt a good value right now.

    Hi,

I am building my new video editing pc and created a part list from part picker but not sure if it's an overkill or if I'm lacking something for a 4k video editing. I am not focused on gaming at all it is mostly for video and photo editing. I want to keep it under 2500$ and right now it's little over the desired budget.

Also I am looking for some recommendation for some 4k monitors for this particular build.

DId you mean to put in the RAM twice?

Well according to the Asus website, it's got a 100% of the sRGB. Battery is listed as almost 20 hrs worth. I don't know anything about editing or what specs pair well for that experience, but in terms of gaming you should be set for most titles. Perhaps not AAA but most should run fairly smooth. What games you wanna play?

TBH, I don't play a lot of games, but lately i've been playing Fortnite, Minecraft, For Honor and Alan Wake.

  13. Hi Everyone,

So I'm looking for a laptop for video editing with some gaming on the side. I found this on amazon and i was wondering how color accurate the display is (Srgb and Delta E) and also  if this is a good value since there are no reviews on this laptop. I plan to edit 1080p footage at either 30 fps or 60 fps in Davinci Resolve. I also want battery life that will last me an entire day at school. 7:23 A.M. - 2:25 P.M.

I am hoping that some can help me decide between buying a new LG g6, or a used LG v30.

The upside of a new g6 is that I won't have any problems with a new device so that's the inherent upside.

The upside of the lgv30 is the massive 128GB storage,  faster cpu,  better camera,  bettery battery.

The downside of getting a used one is it can have screen burn in,  potentially a pretty degraded battery,  and other unforseen problems,  and it costs more a little bit more.  The seller gives it a 9/10 and 30 day refund though.  People have said it is really a sprint variant called: ls 998 that has been converted to a us 998, is that fine for carriers like T-Mobile and Att? Will I be able to root it?

Here is g6 it is T-Mobile factory unlocked for $140 new. Is T-Mobile the best variant for Usa?

Here is lt v30 (I'm assuming it's the v30+?) It is us 998 unlocked for $160 used.

Both are a good deal, but if you want the cheapest and safest option, go with the G6. You can always expand the storage with a micro-SD card.
