  1. Budget (including currency): € 2,300

    Country: Lithuania

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RDR2, Assasin's Creed currently at 1080p, possibly 4K in the future.

Other details I'm currently gaming on i7 4790, GTX 1070, 16 GB RAM, but the RAM is DDR3 and only 1,600 Mhz so it bottlenecks the CPU.

Does this build have any major flaws? Is this processor a good bang for the buck at this price point or does Intel have better ones?

    Main parts:

    AMD® Ryzen™ 9 5900X

    ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS

    PATRIOT Viper DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHz

    WD 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD 1950/2400 MB/s

ASUS TUF GAMING GeForce RTX™ 3080

    TUF Gaming GT301, 4 FAN

    PSU Deepcool DQ750ST 80PLUS GOLD 750 W

Mate, throw that PSU right away, and get a decent one from a reputable brand! I would go with 500W or so, for upgrades down the line!

Active PFC btw, that's a "must have" feature nowadays...

I would go with this one, from the store that you linked: https://www.1a.lt/kompiuteriu_komponentai_tinklo_produktai/korpusas_ir_ausinimas/maitinimo_blokai/be_quiet_system_power_9_500w

I guess I won't risk it after all and don't even buy the adapter temporarily and order this Be Quiet PSU. I remember for one week or so the PC would shut down unexpectedly out of nowhere (I think when playing games). But it did that for only a week or so and then it didn't anymore. I don't know if that was a loose power cable or the PSU. And when I turn on the I O button after plugging the power cord it sparkles for a split moment.

It says it has two 6 + 2 PIN connections. Is it correct that 6 + 2 is the same as an 8 pin which my graphics card requires?

I'd replace it. Any "600w" PSU with only 1x 6pin PCIe connector is likely to be trash. Out of curiosity is there any labelling on the other side of the PSU?

Your i7 4790 + GTX 1070 will only really require 300W max. You could get a decent quality 450W PSU to replace it.

    Only "AC 220 V / 50 Hz"

Yeah I have this PC for about 3 years I think if not more. So would you say my linked adapter would be OK (at least temporarily)?

  4. I decided to replace my GTX 960 Mini with a GTX 1070. The product page for my PC says I have a 600 W PSU but I can only see 1 6-pin connector that's connected to my current card. See image:

5801715022e168a3ffe36a594ae3965726b1f98a I read that such adapter is not recommended.

So do I need a new PSU?

    My specs:

Intel Core i7-4790 (4 cores) up to 4Ghz
    2Tb SATA3 7200rpm
    16Gb DDR3 1600Mhz
    DVD-RW Super Multi
    ASUS GeForce GTX960 2Gb GDDR5
    600W Silent PFC 12cm (I guess it's this one)
