  1. Cheers! What if I happen to install a fresh copy of windows from the USB. Will the Windows install pick it up? Or would I need to do this, prior to starting
  2. Evening all, just looking for some tips on installing my NVME M.2. When installing this, do I need to do the whole disk management thing I need to do with traditional HDD's etc, or will this recognise straight away? I'm new to M.2 storage, so apologies for asking a noob question! My understanding of 'activating' a newly installed HDD was: Open start. Type Disk management Right click ‘disk 1 unallocated’ Click new simple volume Give custom drive letter Keep as NTFS Change ‘new volume’ to whatever Click finish Do I need to do this for the NVME M.2? Kind regards Chris EDIT: What if I happen to install a fresh copy of windows from the USB. Will the Windows install pick it up? Or would I need to do this, prior to starting
  3. Hello, thanks for the reply! I currently have 16gb of Ram, only at 2666mhz though. I'm looking at maybe quad core ram though, maybe? I agree the 1050ti, is okay, but no longer 'as good' as what newer models of GPUs might be, and could cause a potential bottleneck, although I'm not sure. Thanks for the advice!
  4. By faster ram do you mean more, or a faster mhz? Would I be fine with just 2x8, or should I be looking at 4x8 etc?
  5. Evening all, I recently received my new build (full specs are in the signature).I'm just wondering, what sort of upgrades should I look at? I'm going to look at eventually upgrading the storage to higher levels, although theres no rush for this as I'm no where near filling my storage.I'm using this computer for both work/play purposes. The only games I really play are FIFA, GTA V and Cities Skylines (CS I know is highly ram hungry and has high pc usage). So far, monitor-wise, I've looked at the AOC e2770Sh 27" or Samsung C27F390 (my thinking is I wouldn't require a 144mhz monitor, due to me not being on the most intense games etc? Please correct me if wrong)Any tips with regards to upgrades, or any future things I should look at would be great please. Thinking mainly GPU, ram? specs are here if you cant see
  6. Am I right in thinking I'll have have 4 x SATA to use anyway, to fill my other SDD/HDD? Thank you for the reply!!
  7. Hey all, so I'm in the process of building my brand new (budget) PC. And I'm trying to install my Samsung 970 EVO M.2 into the motherboard. The B450 has 2 M.2 slots, as pictured below. Which would should I install the M.2 into? The Samsung 970 EVO is a V-NAND M.2 PCI Express so I'm not sure where this would be best going?
  8. Hello, its the Corsair VS Series™ VS450. I do have the VS550 series if this makes much difference, which I could use if needed.
  9. Hello all. This is my first time in this forum, so apologies if this has been asked before! I have a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite. I’m just wondering, realistically what is the maximum amount of HDD/SSD I can put into my system? I have a 500GB Samsung 970 Evo, which will be going into the M2 slot. Obviously I know this renders 2 SATA ports unavailable. Would I get away with using the following: Crucial MX500 500GB SeaGate Barracuda 1TB Western Digital Blue 500GB I have the potential of 120GB SSD to add on, which would be hard as a work hard drive only. The Samsung 970 is going to be hard for my OS, and basic Files. The others for gaming etc and other applications. Just wondering, realistically would I be able to get ALL 4 of the drives working at the same time? I could sacrifice the WD Blue, and use this as an external drive if needed. Edit: Missed this, how would I deal with powering all of the HDD/SSD?
