  1. Thank you for the feedback. How do I do this exactly though, I would boot the new system into audit mode and then I would install the software clonezilla onto the hard drive I would be discarding while in audit mode? So I could clone that drive to the SSD? Or I would just simply take out the hard drive from the new computer plug it into a separate computer and plug the SSD to that computer as well and then run the software. After running the software install the SSD and it should work fine? I should boot the computer in audit mode to see if everything is working properly?
  2. Hi Everyone, I am listing a Brand New computer on eBay and I had a person ask me if I could upgrade the hard drive for him on the computer to an SSD. Sounds easy enough right..well...wrong. Where I am running into trouble is that I do not want to power on the machine and go through the setup process (because that would make it not "new") but how else can I EASILY install the new SSD without powering it on and just simply migrating all the data over to the new HD. If I also just pop in the new SSD without ever doing an initial power up and simply install Windows 8 and do not go through the new setup process. Aren't I risking the fact that the computer will not have all the drivers necessary to properly run the machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am really stuck here and I don't want to potentially do something stupid. Sincerely, Scott

  6. If anyone is looking to purchase this monitor and is looking around the internet for reviews and such, I would highly recommend it. Not only is the design of the monitor insane looking the picture quality is fantastic for blu-rays or for gaming. I use this hooked into a Radeon 7970 and the clarity is incredible. Its just as geourgoues as my Samsung 65" 8000 series.
  7. I have a problem that know one I have asked really has come up with a solution for me, So i decided to visit the forums here for the first time because I really do enjoy Linus's videos and am curious if you guys can help out a noob like me lol. I just recnetly completed a fairly high end system build that I use for various uses but especially use for a media PC like watching movies from across my room. I would love to have LED fans going and lights around the case or maybe in the near future liquid cool the PC with cool neon lights and such. But there is one major problem with that since I do watch a lot of movies from my computer I would hate all those annoying lights being on right next to my monitor. I would ideally like to control the LEDs on my fans to turn on and off but (an here's the major problem) have them plugged into my motherboard directly to take advantage of FAN Expert 2 a software that I love tinkering with every 5 seconds lol. So here's my problem if i have to start getting into soldering wires, its no problem, I just have no idea about ground wires and positives and negatives and all that jargon. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated I also am using a 650d Corsair case with stock fans I plan on fully replacing. I would like to turn the LED's on and off through mutli switches mounted in the front of the case for each fan.
