Long story short, you should just forget about this project until you've built 322 PCs and know how to custom change parts around, like re-soldering a motherboard, custom creating connections, attachments, mounting systems, cooling system... etc. It takes massive knowledge on each and every component of a PC inside & out. Not quite sure why I am even explaining this in such detail.

@Biferony - The best answer here is to watch YT videos of the fans in action. I know exactly what you mean; not only is it hard to evaluate what it'll look like, but many times the same fans might even seem different. There's a reason for that. But, again, just search YT for the particular fans you're interested in, or just comparison videos (there are plenty). I had this same question a few years back but back then there weren't as many videos, so you're lucky. The Internet wins again.

He obviously wasn't trying to help me, given what he said and how he worded it. I was liking people's posts if they gave relevant information, so I obviously wasn't going after them.

Honestly, It could be a plethora of things But as of now I'm just super curious to see if you feel the same with another GPU (280X). Let me know if your friend experiences anything along the lines of what you did! Also, is he also using VGA? 
 
The bet way to really see wtf is going on is to control as many variables as you can. Less variables, less variances of what the problem could be. So have him use not only the Same connection, but the same exact cord, software, etc. Again, as much as possible, of course.. I'm sure he can't recreate your exact scenario.. But anything will help.

Now, apologies for going a bit off-topic, but.. Your first pic gave me an interesting idea.. Building a mechanical keyboard INTO a desk. Your lone keycaps placed exactly like a keyboard gave me the idea.. And it looks so sick if it can be executed well! What do you think? Lol.

So i need a modem between the computer and the wall. Since as far as i know there is nothing behind the wall except a cable running back to the ISP.

When i said connect to the wall i meant connecting it to the port OpenNet installed when the came around to install the fiber. So i am pretty sure i need the modem between the computer and the wall.

There's more factors & variables than just throwing on headphones.. The HD 800s, for example, take a hell of a lot more to power than most.. Connecting a $50 set of headphones to an iPhone and a $500 MIGHT yield same result if you don't know what you're listening for...
 
Most people just don't fully understand how to properly power audiophile equipment, and don't know what they're actually missing. That is, of course, if they actually even care.. But still.
