  1. I don't think he encrypted the ssd. I assume he used the pc like he normally does every day but from 1 day to the other it stopped working
  2. It's a 2.5 inch ssd. I tried plugging it in different sata ports and using different sata cables but still the same problem, it won't boot on my uncles pc and it only shows up in the bios and not in windows on my pc
  3. Yes it does show up in the BIOS, this is why I assume the drive isn't dead. But I don't know if a drive can be dead but still show up in the BIOS
  4. So here's my problem, my uncle brought me his pc and told me it stopped working. So after a cleanup I turned the pc on and it brought me straight into the BIOS. The pc has 1 ssd where Windows should be installed on but when booting of the ssd it doesn't bring me to Windows but just goes back to the BIOS. So I think the best or only thing to do is to do a clean install of Windows, now the problem is that my uncle has valuable data on the ssd that he REALLY doesn't want to lose. I've tried plugging the ssd into my own pc and see if I can somehow access the data and back it up to a different drive, but the drive only shows up in the BIOS and not in disk/device management. So my question is what can I do to either get tot the data and back it up or get the disk to work again on my uncles pc without losing all the data?
  5. As described in the title i'm clearing all data from my disks of my old pc. I used the built-in factory reset function in Windows settings and it's been stuck on 10% for at least 2 hours now. My question is, is this normal and should i just wait or did something go wrong during the process and should i do something about it and if so what should i do?
  6. According to NZXT's website the H200i supports GPU's up to 325mm and according to MSI's website the GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X is 290mm long, so you should be fine just keep in mind you probably won't be able to fit a radiator in the front then
  7. I really miss the love I had for Call of Duty Black Ops 1 & 2, I could play the Multiplayer (BO1 solo & BO2 mostly with friends) for months and never get tired of it. These days I play online games for a couple of weeks and be done with it. Another game I really miss is Need for Speed Underground 1, to me after that EA has never been able to make a racing game as good as that one. Luckily there's still a good amount of singleplayer story games that I really enjoy and there's a few games I always go back to once a year like Skyrim and Dark Souls 3. So there's still always something for me to play.
  8. Almost got all the parts for my 2nd build, now waiting for the new Asus Matrix 2080 Ti to be released and see how it performs ?
  9. Personally i'd say it's not really worth it. There's no doubt that LM works great but it's just a b**ch to apply and you have to be carefull with different kind of metals. Kryonaut still performs really great and is a LOT easier to apply.
  10. I've got 5 Corsair LL120/140 fans in my case (which has decent air flow) and i've set them to 700 RPM. It's pretty quiet and my 6700 (non k, cooled by a Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3) doesn't get above 65 degrees Celsius under 100% load
  11. Like 6-7 months ago i bought a Corsair H115i aio cooler because i was planning on just upgrading my intel i7-6700 to a Threadripper 1920X. So i bought the cooler but then decided to basically build a complete new pc except for the psu. So now the cooler has been siting in the box for 6-7 months. Is this bad for the cooler or the cooling liquid or will it perform the same when i install it in a few months? ps. I'm now going to go for a i9-9900k build
  12. Thanks, i had something like that in mind too and seeing this picture really gives me a better idea of how they look in real life!
  13. I got almost all the parts for my 2nd build and i'm still looking for some cool Cablemod sleeved cable ideas. Most of the build will be black with some RGB elements in the motherboard and i'm installing 6 Corsair LL120/140 fans which i will probably set on Spiral Rainbow. It would be awesome if some of you can post some pictures of your cables or ideas.
