Xiee got a reaction from emothxughts in what is with colorful and their gpus being unavailable?
Where are you from? From what I know, Colorful is mostly a brand that sells to the Asian market.
I'm in Southeast Asia. I see a lot of Colorful Video Cards in stock in computer stores over here.

It's a legit question. Why do you assume I'm belittling?

Xiee got a reaction from hollyh88 in starfield, are you excited?
It's a Bethesda game. I'll wait for a few months until modders fix all the bugs then I'll jump in.

Xiee got a reaction from SorryBella in 4070 vs 4070ti vs 7900xt
For me, the question is, does Raytracing matter?
If yes then Nvidia, else AMD.

Xiee got a reaction from Somerandomtechyboi in Is PSU Sama 550W Enough for Asus Dual 3060Ti and i5-12400F?
Don't worry. Was just having a bad day and I took it the wrong way. I do agree with some of your statements though.
I've just seen so many of my people who come to me (I used to assemble and repair PCs for a living, still do it from time to time) and I found out they stick some never heard of PSU that may or m ay not have caused issues on their PC.

Xiee reacted to hassam222 in Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
The part where it is alleged LTT auctioned off a prototype water block they promised to return is troubling. That requires an official response.

Maybe you should watch the entire video with the full reasoning before cementing your opinion

Damn now i sound offended =p
Eh think its just my choice of words usually being pretty damn aggressive, lot better than when i joined this forum but guess it still needs some work
As much as theres dummies that buy explosive china psus theres also dummies that spend a crapton more than neccesary on a psu, literally 200$ for some platinum 850w when 1200w units start at that price. Usually when i hear never cheap out on psus i almost always see it being paired with a reccomendation on overpriced psus like the rm(x) when a unit 30$ cheaper like the udgm will work just as well and be indistiguishable irl since the psus only job is to supply power to the components and if both work without issues then they really are indistinguishable irl
Already seen quite a few builds with uneccesarily pricey psus and even downright psus that are highway robbery (>150$ for a god damn 850w), its even worse on budget builds like here where you wanna pinch every penny

Xiee got a reaction from anzonix in Experiences with non-techies
This was something I experienced back in college.
Our neighbor, a good friend of my mom, said that her computer was so slow. I did some troubleshooting and it was indeed loading to a crawl. It was running on WIndows 7 Home. When you clicked on the start button, there would be like a delay of 7-8 seconds before it showed the start menu. I had a bootable rescue CD at the time and the first thing I did was scan the hard drive for viruses. Lo and behold it had a crapton of viruses/malware. Managed to clean it but after booting back to Windows, I started getting BSODs. Thankfully I got into Safe Mode and did a system restore from there. I was able to get back into windows normally and checked folders and installed apps. Removed spam/spyware programs and the like. Then I noticed an oddly named folder that was in the program files folder. Clicked into the folder and I found hundreds of images and videos of "pr0n". Someone was clearly a bad boy. Now my neighbor didn't have any sons, she had 2 young daughters in elementary school so I assumed that this might have been downloaded by her husband. Lol.
Didn't tell her I found the "pr0n" but I deleted them all and just told her I managed to clean her PC from viruses and the like and told her to invest in a good anti-virus.

Xiee got a reaction from rikitikitavi in Tips for an affordable, second hand laptop for (predominantly) gaming
Why not get a SteamDeck instead since you do your gaming on the couch? It's cheaper even if your other choice is a used gaming laptop.

Xiee got a reaction from MSMSMSM in Should I use Windows Defender combined with Avast & Malwarebytes?
Then I'm on the other side of the spectrum since I've had terrible experiences with it. Avast used to be installed on my Dad's and Mom's laptops and it didn't manage to catch a lot of malware/viruses. They were regularly updated as well. I had to visit my parents several times after they've complained that their laptop was so slow or something.
When I fired up the free version of Malwarbytes it found a ton of stuff that Avast didn't. Told them to cancel their subscription to Avast and had them use Windows Defender instead and asked them to run Malwarebytes (the free version) once a week. They didn't have any problems since then.

Xiee reacted to Hinjima in Which GPU with a Radeon RX 6600 XT should I get?
Here is a video by Hardware Unboxed going over different brands RX 6600 XT's, He will explain some differences and tell you the upsides and downsides of some of the models, maybe this will help you 🙂 In the beginning he tells you not to buy a GPU at the moment, this video is over 1 year old and was filmed during the GPU shortage, dont mind this comment.

Xiee got a reaction from Vexcity in Which GPU with a Radeon RX 6600 XT should I get?
Nothing much. Those are just brands. But if you're getting a card from a specific brand I'd go for Sapphire or Powercolor. Which in my opinion are one of the top brands for AMD graphics cards.

Xiee reacted to goatedpenguin in Distro choice
Honestly Linus doing the Linux daily driver challenges in general was an insult to the Linux community I mean he basically screwed up his system and was not even well versed in the Os which is why I think that is another reason why mainstream users who use windows and OSx don’t switch to Linux as there is always some dependcy to maintain the Os through the terminal etc. hence, requiring some form of technical knowledge which not everyone has.

Xiee got a reaction from thiccbeard4linux in Distro choice
I remember this. I was a PoP_OS user at the time (I'm now using EndeavourOS). I was facepalming the whole time when Linus wasn't even reading what was on the terminal. I remember posting a comment asking Linus why the hell would he use the terminal when PoP_OS has its own graphical AppStore where you can just click on "INSTALL" and it does everything for you. He was completely making things complicated for him. If he truly wanted to dabble on the terminal then use Arch Linux instead.
