  1. If restarting is still giving you a black screen, you may want to get into safe mode and uninstall the drivers using DDU and do a fresh driver install. I would say go with NVClean so you only install drivers and none of the other Nvidia bloat, but that's just me.
  2. Still using adblockers here. Besides there are apps on android (obviously not found in the android store) that you can use to bypass these ads. On my PC, I still use adblockers. Even with the new pop-ups that Youtube has telling you that adblockers are not allowed, there is still a way to bypass that.
  3. For me, the question is, does Raytracing matter? If yes then Nvidia, else AMD.
  4. If you use an Nvidia card, I recommend going for distros that package the Nvidia drivers along with the ISO for easier installation. A good example is PoP_OS.
  5. Don't worry. Was just having a bad day and I took it the wrong way. I do agree with some of your statements though. I've just seen so many of my people who come to me (I used to assemble and repair PCs for a living, still do it from time to time) and I found out they stick some never heard of PSU that may or m ay not have caused issues on their PC.
  6. Woah, coming off a bit "strong" there. I'm not saying the guy should buy expensive PSUs. I've owned used PSUs myself. I've seen too many people trash their PCs due to a bad PSU due to my line of work so I'm only suggesting that something from a more reliable manufacturer tends to fail less. This is also just my experience, so if that offends you in some way then I dunno.
  7. From what I remember on VHS, it had SP (standard play) and LP (long play). Maybe this EX thing is some marketing jargon for that on this specific brand?
  8. Curious about that white DAC you have beside the keyboard. That's a DAC right?
  9. Nothing much. Those are just brands. But if you're getting a card from a specific brand I'd go for Sapphire or Powercolor. Which in my opinion are one of the top brands for AMD graphics cards.
  10. This was something I experienced back in college. Our neighbor, a good friend of my mom, said that her computer was so slow. I did some troubleshooting and it was indeed loading to a crawl. It was running on WIndows 7 Home. When you clicked on the start button, there would be like a delay of 7-8 seconds before it showed the start menu. I had a bootable rescue CD at the time and the first thing I did was scan the hard drive for viruses. Lo and behold it had a crapton of viruses/malware. Managed to clean it but after booting back to Windows, I started getting BSODs. Thankfully I got into Safe Mode and did a system restore from there. I was able to get back into windows normally and checked folders and installed apps. Removed spam/spyware programs and the like. Then I noticed an oddly named folder that was in the program files folder. Clicked into the folder and I found hundreds of images and videos of "pr0n". Someone was clearly a bad boy. Now my neighbor didn't have any sons, she had 2 young daughters in elementary school so I assumed that this might have been downloaded by her husband. Lol. Didn't tell her I found the "pr0n" but I deleted them all and just told her I managed to clean her PC from viruses and the like and told her to invest in a good anti-virus.
  11. OpenRGB will usually display an error when you start it for the first time when something is off. For me, the error I got was due to the SMB bus or something that I needed to set and run so that openRGB could detect the lights on my Corsair memory. If you didn't get an error message then that would mean it should be working with no issues. You might need to set it up manually first like enabling it to run every time Linux starts and loading a settings profile automatically. It's a bit long to explain here, but the FAQ on openRGB's website should help out.
  12. Royal Kludge RK96 might be the one you want to look at. Red switches might be the one you want to go with.
  13. Get a keyboard with Linear switches, they make less noise when you type. The one with Tactile switches are the ones that makes noises when you type. Keychron has some nice keyboards from what you described, but they're mostly Bluetooth only I think (Keychron K4 or K10). You might want to check brands like Royal Kludge (RK96) since those have wireless capability for both bluetooth and 2.4ghz wireless.
  14. Adapters. Get an HDMI to VGA adapter so you can just dual-screen it.
