  1. Alright, thanks for the help. I figured it would be fine, but wanted to check first.
  2. I recently got an old gtx 460 off my mate just to use for light gaming like minecraft, league etc. and the GPU only has 2 ports on the back which I believe are DVI-I. I don't have a DVI-I cable on hand and will have to order one, but I did a little bit of research and apparantly DVI-D works too. I'm getting conflicting answers and I can't really seem to find a DVI-I cable anywhere on amazon. I'm just wondering if a normal DVI-D to HDMI cable will work or not. If anyone could let me know, that would be great, thanks.
  3. I recently ordered a new motherboard for my PC upgrade. It is the MSI Z390-A Pro and on the motherboard there is a 6 pin power connector just above the first PCIe slot, with the label "PCIE_PWR1". I have an old molex to 6 pin connector which fits in just fine, but what I really want to know is what it's for and if it is 100% necessary to connect it up?
  4. Thanks for the help, I'll consider looking into different RAM speeds. I guess it's always best to check first instead of regretting not having done so later down the line.
  5. I'm planning on an upgrade in the next couple of days which I will hopefully last me for years and years. My question is will DDR4 2666 work with the I9 9900K, because I have seen a video on it where it isn't explicitly spoken about but it's there in the benchmark results when comparing different speeds, I have also seen a lot of posts on other help forums but the question is never answered. I'm planning on getting 32GB (either 16x2 or 4x8 haven't decided yet) but the price of 2666 is about £30 cheaper than a kit of 2400, and bearing in mind that I don't want to spend more than I already have to. All I really want to know is, will there be any issues with 2666 MHz with a I9 9900k?
