    just one small ting, i realized when running 2 screens, think i had a 970 gtx at the time or a 670, where to boost clock were higher, so the cards ran way hotter, in idle states and used more power, with 2 screens compared to one, it was something like Strix cards running 33 degrees idle, and 50 ish with dual screen, still with no fan spin

    You should be fine

    You can run three displays off a 30$ GPU from 6 years ago, so you'll definitely be fine.

    You can stream just fine with both of those. What cpu?

    Are you sure you have put all the cables at the right places?It could be a defect mainboard or something smaller like cable giving a short.I hope its not the mainboard because i have the same mainboard and the first one was defect and had to replace it and start everything again...

    step40 got a reaction from brob in Trying to build pc , so lost
    I feel you bro, my first pc took 48 hours and i literally had no idea about cables.You asked about power switch cables,with your motherboard comes a plastic thing u put your speaker power switch power led cables in it.You put the little cables in it.You look at the names of both sides and just put the cable where the name is.Then this plastic thing i posted goes into your mainboard in F_Panel (Front Panel header)You have put your atx24 pin right and also the psu cables into your video card right.The third cable above you didnt put goes again into mainboard Atx 12V.I learned everything from internet and mainboard manual.Read again your mainboard manual and everything should make sense.

    this appears to be normal with ryzen, it'll go from sub 1v to 1.5+ and that causes temp spikes, as for the fans i would definitely check the fan curve

    Sometimes there is a sound option in the bios where you can turn it of. If everything else is working it is probably a feature from your motherboard

    Here you have the bios:

    But you still haven't done the one and only actual thing that would fix your problem...

    Not everyone is an expert. I'm just an engineer who deals with such stuff on a regular basis.
    And btw I own the same model motherboard in my personal rig.

    First build and board is having fun with you, unlucky, i've built many and i've seen weird problems to the stupid level, like my old board wich crashed if i placed my ram 1 at slot 1 and 2 at 2, but if i swaped the ram (one stick for the other) it would work perfectly, like, what the hell if it was a board or ram problem it shouldn't work by moving the sticks to same slots but the other way around xd, but it does and today still does, and its ddr 1 ram what im talking about, just try stuff, and leave it be for tomorrow if so, don't be surprised if its something really dumb, also check every last power cable, specially the 24 pin to board(yea the one wich hates to go in gently and you need to push hard)

    Welcome to building your pc, when it works fine its great, when x thing fails its annoying but when, "something" you don't know what is it fails... Oh thats REALLY annoying haha

    Since you obviously can't flash from Windows (using Gigabyte @Bios) you'd need to put the UEFI files on a FAT32 USB drive and flash from inside the UEFI.
    It's simple to do, but I have to warn you - all the UEFI updates for the board did a UEFI reset on my system so I have to load the XMP profiles, FAN settings etc manually each time after the flash.

    Because its a motherboard, its not like a fan where it works or not, motherboards have lots of elements, chipsets lanes, pci m2 satas power to each one, ram socket pins, fan header, and so on, each of these is controlled by something, the Ethernet goes to the network card, and usb to usb controller, if the usb power or controller fail... Well the rest might work perfectly or, not

    Seeing some small sparks when the capacitors get charged up is quite normal. If you constantly unplug and plug in the PSU, that can kill the PSU (you can find some topics about it on the forum)

    Hey Matey, welcome.
    And Good job there.

    My first few PCs, were shambles because I didn't care for managing cables (beyond basics)

    Thats a nice looking system, and shots of it are well done. Congrats on the first time build, expensive Lego can be stressfull but not so bad now is it. Fruits of the Labor, Good Job

    Nice outcome, glad to hear you got it up and running smooth. Looks really good too! Just move the motherboard power cable and you got a good looking machine there.

    Would look better for the 24 pin and 2 gpu cables to come from the gap to the right of the mobo, then run the front panel cables through the back and emerge through the same slot as 24 pin, just lower down. Cables running from the left of the mobo could run down and hug the bottom of the first pcie slot, the gpu heatsink would conceal them well. +1 for getting a power supply that doesn't use ketchup and mustard cables. Looks good for a first build

    You should plan your cables and the mobo cable should be coming from the side not bottom

    I have perforated holes on the top of my PSU shroud and I use a twist tie through the holes to help keep wires in place near the bottom of the motherboard.

    nvidia = gysnc only
    amd = freesync only

    GSYNC and FREESYNC are the same thing, and essentially provide smoother gameplay below the monitor's refresh rate.
    I.E. if your monitor is 120Hz and you consistently get 80fps, then it will look better on a GSYNC/FREESYNC monitor.

    Supposedly. I've never had one or tried one.
