4ndrew reacted to aisle9 in What are some cool things to put in your PC?
I knew a guy who put his dongle inside a PC once. He says it was the greatest thing he'd ever felt--and then the fans kicked on.

What would really improve the comment section is an option to hide it altogether, like hiding the chat in twitch or similar.

Double sided foam, I could have used double sided tape but that wouldn't have left any gap, with the foam it leaves a small 3mm gap for airflow (it's a reference card so it has holes on the back where the fan is)

4ndrew got a reaction from NinjaJc01 in flying on a airplane next week
I think the combination of jet lag and some really bad turbulence gave him really bad motion sickness when trying to use VR. He was alright once we got back on the ground though, I think he gets motion sick quite easily anyway and the disconnect between what he was seeing and feeling made it worse...

Everyone really needs to stop speculating about who the 3rd party is.
It does nothing but spread FUD.

Makes sense. The people most harmed by piracy are also those with the greatest ability to influence government, so why shouldn't their needs be placed over real threats to national security?

Welcome to the wonderful world of aviation!! I have been known to buy tickets just to experience flight. My first time using an airline I went by myself from Memphis (KMEM) to Chicago (KORD), to some tiny little airport in Wisconsin. It was a little difficult but it was awesome.
Some things to remember:
You will not lose your luggage. There are not any malicious people on your plane Even if you use mobile devices when you aren't supposed to, the manufacturers of avionics are required by law to design them such that your electronics cannot interfere with their functionality. The Mythbusters have confirmed this. Unless you get a window seat or are seated next to someone attractive and intelligent, bring something to do. A puzzle book, a real book, an eBook, whatever. Enjoy it. Aviation is awesome. It's only in the past 100 years (.05% of human existence) that we've been able to fly. All in all, if you study your itinerary and the airport maps before you go (if you have layovers), you should have no problems and it should be an amazing and wondrous experience.
That said, let me reiterate, bring something to do, especially if you don't have a window seat/get bored easily. Don't expect to get cellphone coverage at 30,000+ feet. You will be sorely disappointed.

Totally, but they will tell you when it's "safe". Pretty much expect to be able to use your electronics almost immediately after takeoff until right before decent to land. The stewardesses/stewards will announce when it's "safe" to use your electronics. Make sure to use airplane mode. If you don't your phone will actively be trying to search for a signal the entire time and that will lead to increased battery drain. The stewardesses/stewards will tell you that anyway during taxi to takeoff. I promise, they spell out all the rules very clearly during flight over the cabin speakers.
Just pay attention when they talk, and bring anything to do while in the air and you'll have an amazing time. Flight is only second to intimate relationships in "the most awesome things humans can experience". It will be great, (this is coming from someone whose hands were literally shaking in nervousness during his college orientation. I'm the most anxious person you could ever talk to) I promise.
