nuclear465 reacted to CADGuy23 in EVGA RTX 3080 notify e-mail system
Myself and 3 of my friends got our 3080's and we were in queue day 1 and 2. I got mine about 6 weeks after launch, theirs were a week or two after mine.

nuclear465 reacted to NewMaxx in Nome SSD and motherboard compatibility
It will only run at a maximum of x4 PCIe 2.0. 4 x 5 Gbps x 8b/10b encoding x .9 overhead = 14.4 Gbps = 1.8 GB/s. This only impacts sequentials however, yes, the 1TB SN500 would be a good fit.

nuclear465 reacted to RadiatingLight in Should I overclock my RAM
There might be, but I highly doubt the first-gen Ryzen memory controller can handle it. Just 3200Mhz CL14 is already impressive.
Doesn't hurt to try.

nuclear465 got a reaction from DailyProcrastinator in Should I overclock my RAM
I think if you are already at 3200 mhz CL14 on a R7 1800X you won't gain much more if you overclock it. Unfortunately my 3200Mhz CL16 rated RAM does not work stable at 3200 Mhz CL16, it only works if i loose the timings to CL22, but with the extensive tests that i made i ended concluding that i get more performance at 2933Mhz CL14 than on 3200 Mhz CL22.
If you can OC it to 3400 or 3600 mhz and keep the timings tight, you might get some more performance, but on Ryzen 1st gen, that is an hard task.

What i would do is:
get the R5 3600 and the rest of the system, keep your old graphics card for a couple of more months, save money and get something like a GTX 1660Ti.

I also have a R9 280X, and in full load it gets around 76 degrees Celsius. My case config is 1 fan intake in the lower front of the case and 2 fans exhaust in the top back.

nuclear465 reacted to Shahnewaz in What Gapps to use in my phone
http://opengapps.org/
Outdated/For Information Only: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tk-gapps-t3116347
The Gapps package names are pretty self explanatory, and represent the size and number of Google apps bundled.
1) Find your CPU architecture
2) Find your Android version
3) Find how many or what Google apps you want.
Use these to figure out which package you need, and install!
Personally, I always pick Pico. I personally couldn't care less about all the Google bloatware, and Pico is the bare minimum for Google Services and Play Store to work.

nuclear465 got a reaction from christianled59 in Battlefield Hardline Open Beta Discussion
Here is my opinion:
My experience with this Beta is good. I enjoyed the game, but not enough to buy it at launch day... maybe i will some day when the price drops significantly... or bypass it and wait for BF5.
The game ran smoothly for me and the game mode that i enjoyed most was Heist, great packed action in thight corners. Next was Hotwire, had immense fun playing that mode, but the vehicles physics is not that great. Conquest is just more of the same.
I had one encounter with an hacker - COMMON HACKERS ALREADY !!?? - So i decided to record his gameplay in spectator mode and report him:

nuclear465 reacted to grimmjow660 in 970 vs 290
Agreed. I have the equivalent of what you have, a 770. I see no reason to upgre especially at 1080p and that I can max games out already.Probably will wait until next nvidia cards or even later. I generally try to upgrade every 3 gens.

nuclear465 reacted to theduke33w in Corsair af120 on an h100?
Absolutely, noctua makes great fans, although they are a little expensive.
I do use Corsair in my case both for my radiator and case fans because of appearance reasons, I'm satisfied.
I love Noctua, they are just ugly as sin:)
-
nuclear465 got a reaction from Sauron in Corsair af120 on an h100?
Pressure optimized fans like the SP120 from corsair or any other brand are best suited to use on these situations:
- Radiators.
- As intakes on the front of the case where normaly exists the cages for the HDDs and SSDs, these cages are barriers to the air flow, so pressure optimized is the best.
For the exhaust i recommend Air Flow optimized fans on the back and top of the case.
But it all depends of the type of the case the positions of the fan holes.
That is my opinion, i believe there will be lots of other opinions.
