  1. The case is a Kolink Observatory Lite Mesh. The OS was freshly installed.
  2. Hey there everyone. I recently built a secondary system and i noticed that my RTX 2060 has a very high idle temperature around 76-78 ºC, so i started digging around and found out that the GPU is always on max core clock (1920 Mhz), max memory clock (6801 Mhz) and max voltage (1036 mV). Messing around on Afterburner does not solve anything. I used DDU and fresh installed nvidia drivers, still the same issue... I am on AMD Ryzen Balanced power option. Inside Nvidia control panel i use optimized settings and tried out adaptative, and the issue remains. I even updated windows from 10 to 11. I even cleaned and replaced the thermal paste on the GPU. What else can i do ? Best regards and Thanks
  3. I am still trying to get it anywhere I can, but my options are very limited. I live on an island and the latest hardware is practically non-existent, there is only one reputable retailer that gets the latest stuff on tech and I was very lucky to get the R9 5900X. There is only 3 people on this whole island with 5000 series CPUs, 1 with the 5600X, 1 with the 5800X and me with the 5900X...
  4. Just wondering if anyone here had any success getting an RTX 3080 through EVGA notify system? I registered for notification on November 29th. But still nothing. And i live in Europe by the way.
  5. Budget (including currency): 300 Euros Country: Portugal ( i can order from amazon.es - usually cheaper for Portugal than other amazon like the uk) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming in general, video editing and streaming Last year I upgraded my motherboard from a Gigabyte Aorus X470 to an Asus Rog Strix B550-F (the gigabyte mobo had a lot of issues with RAM compatibility and i dicided to get a 500 series mobo since ZEN 3 was around the corner). A couple of weeks ago I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 9 5900X. I also got an RX 6800 reference design from XFX. But i am having a couple of problems regarding my Phanteks P350X case and AIO compatibility 1st: when i changed the motherboard i lost one of the top exaust fans because there is no room for it to fit, it touches the CPU EPS cable on the top left corner and the fan gets stuck, so i had to remove the fan, losing some of the cooling potential. Since was still rocking the R5 3600 i didn't mind. Now that i upgraded to the R9 5900X and the RX 6800 i get higher temperatures inside the case and i feel that i need that extra fan... 2nd: I am still using a rather cheap AIO the NOX Hummer H240. It is a 240 mm AIO with 200 Watts TDP. But i am getting around 83 Celsius peak temperature on the CPU, and i am not confortable with that (during Cinebench R20). I am concerned that during the summer it will get a lot worse. Solution: I am looking to get the Lian Li Lancool II and a Corsair H115i RG platinum AIO - that's what i can get right now for roughly 250 euros. I can go up to 300 euros. I don't know if with the Lian li case i'll have the same problem for the top exaust fan. Anyone around here with the same case that can give me some advice ? PS: I have read some topics around the Corsair AIO H115i not fitting the Phanteks P350X front mount because of the case I/O. The offical phanteks website referes that it can fit a 280 mm AIO on the front but i think the H115i is a little bit to long for that case. And Top mounting is next to impossible, no room for radiator and fans combined. Thanks and best regards.
  6. It is working fine until now with the 1401 bios. If it shows any sign of instability i'll install the most recent one, thanks.
  7. I have a Asus Rog Strix B550-F gaming motherboard. I installed a bios from early december a think its the 1402. But now that i am about to install the ryzen 9 5900X i checked the available bioses and the 1402 is no longer available and the one that is not beta is the 1202 from October... All the bios next to that one are BETA versions, 3 of them (1212, 1216 and 1602)... What should i do ? Thanks in advance and best regards.
  8. Looks like a scam to me! Please be careful people. A 900 euros rtx 3090 does not seem to be possible given the state of the market right now! https://www.amazon.es/gp/aw/d/B08LHB7Z57/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_2?smid=AKI9X3GVT6VCA&psc=1
  9. I have a phanteks p350x with 2 front intakes and 1 exaust at the top and 1 rear exaust.
  10. Hello everyone. I have a XFX RX 6800 reference design, and i am noticing that it is presenting high idle temperatures at around 55 to 60 degrees celcius. When i play a game it rises to 75 - 80 degrees, that seems normal according to some reviews, but the idle temperature seems to be high. Anyone with the same problem ? Best regards.
  11. I tried the tool yesterday. It solved the problem for the moment. Today the light appeared again... Any ideas ??
  12. I have this exact problem. And i noticed that when using the display port the light is always on but when i use hdmi the light turns off... So i was thinking that it has something to do with the display port. I have a gtx 1080. Thank you, i'll try that tool.
  13. Hi there. I have this motherboard: gigabyte aorus x470 ultra gaming. It has 2 m.2 sockets for nvme SSD. My M2A_SOCKET is already populated with an adata xpg sx8200 pro 512 GB and i get full rated speed. And i would like to get a second nvme SSD (adata xpg gammix s11 pro 1tb) the rated speed is 3500 MB read/3000 MB write, it's similar to the sx8200. I was wandering if the the second nvme SSD in the M2B_SOCKET will lose performance since it's PCIe 2.0 instead of PCIe 3.0. Maybe i should get a cheaper and slower nvme like the wd blue sn550 if i am going to lose performance on that socket anyway. motherboard specs states this: 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2* SSD support) (M2A_SOCKET) * Actual bandwidth may vary by CPU. 1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 PCIe 2.0 x4/x2 SSD support) (M2B_SOCKET) 6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors Support for RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 10
  14. I think if you are already at 3200 mhz CL14 on a R7 1800X you won't gain much more if you overclock it. Unfortunately my 3200Mhz CL16 rated RAM does not work stable at 3200 Mhz CL16, it only works if i loose the timings to CL22, but with the extensive tests that i made i ended concluding that i get more performance at 2933Mhz CL14 than on 3200 Mhz CL22. If you can OC it to 3400 or 3600 mhz and keep the timings tight, you might get some more performance, but on Ryzen 1st gen, that is an hard task.
  15. Well i am not the type of person that pays over 500 for a graphics card, there was only one time i did that - when i bought the GTX 1080 (640 € brand new). Considering the Nvidia pricing tendency over the past 2 years, when Ampere comes out, even the 3060 will cost an arm and a leg. The cheapest RTX 2060 Super i can find locally costs 529 €. If i can get my money back selling the GTX 1080, i think it's easy math to get a card that has around the same performance of an RTX 2070 super... I think i'm going for it.
  16. Hi there. I found a local person selling a Gigabyte RX5700XT online, he lives in my home town so it's easy for me to pick it up and see if it's working properly. This guy is asking 375 € for it, and i am here thinking that i should grab this opportunity and upgrade my old GTX 1080 (Asus rog strix) that turns 4 years old this year. Maybe i can negotiate and get it down to between 320 - 350 € max. I game on a 1080p freesync monitor @144hz (gsync doesn't work on this one). Do you guys think it's a good idea? Will i notice the performance bump? I searched online and these GTX 1080 are selling for between 300 € and 400 €, maybe i can get my money back before the 3000 series comes out, because when they do the 1080 will drop in price even further. I can't decide... Thanks Best regards.
  17. I used the EC FW tool, then i updated the BIOS to F41. I installed my R5 3600 today and it is working fine. The only problem that i have and that i had before is the XMP profile for 3200 MHz still does not work, and my pc refuses to boot with that speed. I thought that by upgrading from the R5 1600 to the R5 3600 my RAM would finally be able to run at 3200 MHz but unfortunately it is not...
  18. Tomorrow i am going to get my new R5 3600 but my BIOS is the F31 (Gigabyte Aorues X470 Gaming Ultra) and it says in the gigabyte website to use that EC FW update tool before updating to F40... I went looking for that update tool but found out in other forums that it is causing problems to a lot of people. So i am kind of afraid to use that tool, maybe i should just update the BIOS to F40 without using the tool... This tool is located in the utility tab below the Bios tab in bigabyte website. (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X470-AORUS-ULTRA-GAMING-rev-10/support#support-dl-utility) Forum discussing the tool - http://forum.gigabyte.us/thread/6906/install-ec-fw-update-tool
  19. X570 motherboard are way overpriced... Waiting for B550 chipset is not worth it for someone who wants to upgrade now (only in 2020) He will be fine with a B450 or X470 motherboard. Oh and i forgot to mention that maybe wait a little bit more for AIB versions of the RX 5700XT with better cooling and you will have a RTX 2070 like performance and get that instead of the RX 580 or gtx 1660ti.
  20. The BIOS are still rolling out, it´s just a matter of time for them to be updated. I believe X470 and B450 boards won´t have much issues. B350 and X370 may have some issues like mentioned by AMD themselves.
  21. What i would do is: get the R5 3600 and the rest of the system, keep your old graphics card for a couple of more months, save money and get something like a GTX 1660Ti.
  22. PCdiga - They have MSI Armor RX 570´s as low as 139,90 € for the 4gb version. Globaldata - 144,90 € for the same model. This is still a very good graphics card for 1080p gaming.
  23. Well the problem stopped by itself, i guess. Or when nvidia released new drivers. I haven´t had that problem again. Also i don´t have that 1080 anymore. I endend up selling it a few months later and got a GTX 1080Ti. So, no specific solution for the problem.
  24. I know about thermal pads on vrm and vram.. But not on the gpu die itself...
