  1. Purchased Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18 and XMP works now! Thanks guys
  2. Thanks man! Do you know which memory would work better? I can still return LPX and grab different memory kit
  3. Hey guys, I recently decided to upgrade my system, so I bought motherboard, memory, m.2 nvme ssd and used cpu. Everything seems to be working well, but I can't enable XMP on my new memory. Everytime I play with the frequencies or timings I get blue screen or memory errors. My hardware: CPU: Ryzen 3900XT (Used) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4-RAM 3600 MHz 2x 16 GB 64GB in total (Brand new) Motherboard: MSI MEG B550 UNIFY Gaming Motherboard ATX-AMD AM4 Ryzen 5000 Ready (Brand new) SSD: Sabrent 2TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Internal SSD (Brand new) GPU: MSI ARMOR GTX 1060 (From old system) PSU: Corsair RM750 (From old system) Cooler: AIO Corsair H100i V2 (From old system) Things I tried to fix this problem: Update BIOS. Tried 2 different BIOS versions. Tried to use XMP1 and XMP2 profiles. Tried to manualy tune the memory using DRAM calculator. System didn't boot after that, had to use CMOS Tried to lower the frequency, I could boot at 3200Mhz but the system wasn't stable. Memtest showed some errors. Is it normal that XMP profiles doesn't work? Do I need to buy better memory or is it my motherboard causing all those problems? Thanks for your help! References:
  4. Hey guys, I recently bought an external SSD for video editing purposes. It works great, file transfer speeds are much better than external HDD's and it's much more durable than my HDD. But for some reason when I am rendering a video file directly from my external SSD it takes much longer than to render it directly from my external HDD? Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? I tried few different computers and different export setting on Premiere Pro, but the issue remains the same.
  5. Hello guys, I am getting a NAS enclosure and now I am choosing drives for it. Because I am going to keep NAS in my bedroom I want to get quiet drives. I heard that WD RED performs quite well in terms of noise, but unfortunately those drives are 20% more expensive than Ironwolf or Toshiba N300. Can anyone recommend better/cheaper solutions than WD RED?
  6. Thank you for reply. I am planning to use Western Digital NAS drives rated at 7200RMP. Also I have and old pc system. I5-2400, 8gb ddr3. Maybe it would be useful just turn it into NAS? Or it's better to go with generic options like synology or QNAP.
  7. Hi there, I am videographer/photograper trying to upgrade my data storage workflow. Currently I am using a lot of USB 3.0 external HDDs which are very slow and painful to use. I want to get NAS with 10gbe connection. I found this budget friendly option: QNAP-TS431-X2 but I am not sure if I would be able to playback and edit 4K ProRes 422 using this NAS. Has anyone else used this NAS for video workflow? Which other budget friendly options would you guys recommend? Thank you for your help
  8. Hello guys, I am planning to upgrade my PC. Right now I am equipped with I5 6500, 16GB RAM 3000MHZ, GTX 1060 and couple SDD's. My goal is to be able to edit online 4K video from Sony A7III. I am thinking of getting a Ryzen 2600 CPU. Would it be a good upgrade? Or I should save my money and buy something even more powerful later on? I have spare B350 motherboard so please keep in mind that I need to buy CPU only.

  10. Thanks for everyone's replies. I was just wondering why everyone suggests to use 2600 instead of 1700x? I thought 2 extra cores would benefit my workflow. Am I wrong?
  11. Thanks for your reply, Do you think it would be worth downgrading from 1700x to 2600? in term of money it just 40 eur difference
  12. Hello guys, hope you can help me decide if I need to upgrade my system. Today I have: i5-6500, 16gb ram 2400mhz, GTX 1060 6gb, 2x 250GB SSD. I want to upgrade to Ryzen 1700x but I don't need if it's worth it. I can get new cpu for 180 EUR or roughly 200 USD. Also I have TB350-BTC AM4 AMD B350 mining motherboard which I can use for a build but I don't know if its good enough? Should I get a new one? Also all my RAM are 2400mhz. Are they too slow for Ryzen? I heard for Ryzen you need to have 3200 mhz to get most of use your CPU. Mostly I use my system for Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere.
