I'm not sure because when it flickered and didn't do anything I assumed to just wasn't turning on. let me go to my brothers and turn it on to see if it works. Do you have any suggestions for my system?

When it came to his, the motherboard would just flicker and the computer wouldn't actually turn on, then I put his CPU back into his mobo and the same thing happened.

We booted the computer into the bios and increased the frequency of the CPU from 3.2 to 3.8, this should have been fine for the board memory and the ram. However, we left the voltage on auto instead of increasing it. We then went out of bios and saved changes. The computer then never fully booted again. all the lights turned on and the fans spun. We then cleared the CMOS by both shorting the pins and removing the battery for an extended amount of time. This did nothing. Eventually, we got it back into bios where I changed all the setting back to default. However after saving and exiting the problem continued. We then tested the motherboard to see if it was still reading the CPU and other components. The motherboard comes with ez debug LEDs which turn on on the board if the part isn't detected. When we removed the GPU, ram, and CPU individually all the lights turned on for their respective part. I then got home and put in a motherboard speaker to see if I could get a beep code, however it never beeped. Then I took out the parts and put them into my brother's system one at a time to see if they were working, the ram and GPU worked without a problem. When I switched the CPUs his motherboard lights flickered on for no more than half a second. The computer stayed cold and didn't turn on. I then put his CPU back, and the motherboard did the same thing. I also got no beep code when putting it into his system either. Make sure you don't have a drive plugged into the SATA 1.

I'd also make sure there are no standoffs that are out of place that could possibly interfere.

On my motherboard, the lights turn on and stay on. The coolers LEDs are on and all the fans spin, yes it is connected. On my brothers, it just flickers on once and then instantly turns off no more than half a second.

After just buying a new watercooler My friend and I wanted to test it out by overclocking the CPU. We put up the frequency (3.2 - 3.8) but left the voltage on auto. After this, the computer did not post. We can't get power to a monitor or keyboard and mice. It did load bios once, where I reset everything to normal but after closing bios the problem persisted. I then went to my brother's system and swapped parts to try to see if one of them was broken. I did the GPU and Ram and it was fine, then when I swapped the CPU (all compatible, should've worked fine) the motherboard flickered and then didn't turn on or boot at all. When I turn the power off and on again it will flicker. I then put his CPU back and its the same problem. We are both frustrated and eager for some help.
