  1. Looking at a review, slightly higher read speed and around a 30% faster write speed. For gaming, the read speed increase is probably negligible and I'm not sure I'm going to have the kinds of workloads that the lower write speed is going to have any serious impact on.
  2. The Samsung 970 Evo 1tb is going for £130 because of prime day. I am planning a new build soon for a gaming/ content creator pc. It seems like a good deal but im worried ill miss the improved performance of the Evo plus which is around £210. Thoughts?
  3. My current monitor is a BenQ XL2420Z from 2014 so probably not. My current GPU is a 1070 so probably. I already own the hd60 but im willing to upgrade both.
  4. Can a boy not dream? I am debating getting a new GPU to get into 1440p but the main motivation to get a new computer is because my i7-4770k just is not cutting it for streaming and I'm not getting the framerates I'm expecting in more processor intensive games like far cry 5. I am saving my pennies, sticking to streaming console games and probably going to wait for Ryzen 3000. This is mostly an exercise in figuring out how many fans I am going to need while I can get them on a bit of a discount.
  5. I This is making me lean towards just getting the 2nd rad and adding it to my loop if and when I need it. Not really seeing many offers for medium thickness rads. I am using the Elgato HD60 Pro which does not occupy the full length of the slot. I was considering either getting a second riser cable and hiding it behind the GPU as the Lian-Li solution gives you 4 slots or seeing if I can put it in the top slot. Both solutions lock me into Lian-Li's mounting solutions though. I really do not want to have to build a streaming rig on top of this. I could salvage my old rig to make it cheap but I was hoping to just sell it. If the Lian-Li mount is super bad I could be persuaded to not bother and fill the bottom with fans.
  6. I am trying to prepare for a future build by buying some components in the January sales. I am fairly sold on the Lian li dynamic. I am wanting to go custom loop because I am wanting to do a showy build but it is my first time doing it. I want to play with overclocking but I'm not planning on going too crazy just out of concern for the energy bills. On the loop, I am going to want to stick a GPU and a CPU in the loop. In case it matters, I will have a capture card installed. SLI sounds like an expensive hassle and I have not won the lottery. I am considering the verticle mount for the GPU and mounting my pump reservoir combo on the bottom and whatever the biggest 360 radiator configuration I can fit on the top is. The question is should I stick a rad on the side or is this overkill and I should just use the side for intake fans? Or do I have this all wrong? At this point, I am mostly concerned with not accidentally buying too many water cooling parts and fans.
