  1. Thanks so much both of you! I figured what I was reading was accurate, just wanted to make sure that 4k and HDR wasn't an incredible thing I'd be missing out on. At least for now I can go with a decent monitor at a good price range and down the line when it gets more worth it invest then.
  2. My Current PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 1800x Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. AB350-Gaming 3-CF (AM4) 16GB DDR4 RAM GeForce RTX 2080 Overclocked Triple-Fan 8GB GDDR6 BenQ 24" 144hz monitor So today I am pulling the plug on upgrading my monitor. I have recently upgraded my graphics card as you can see in my specs above and I want something that is well worth my while with my current setup. When I originally set out my search I was over reaching on my checklist a little for the price I want to pay. 4k HDR 34" or more 120hz or more. From what I can see I'd be in the 1k-2k range in price which is a little above what I want to spend. I've catered my desired specs then to still 34" or more but the 4k and possibly HDR I'm willing to cut out. I really need some help and maybe a few options you guys can suggest. My budget currently sits around $800 possibly a little more if it truly is worth it. I am currently looking at: Dell Alienware AW3418DW 34.1" UW-QHD 120Hz HDMI DP G-Sync Curved Gaming LED Monitor https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Alienware-Monitor-Resolution-Overclocked/dp/B0777RY75V  (I found one on sale at my local microcenter for $764) I have no idea whether I am cutting myself short spec wise with this considering my gpu or if this is actually good value for my money as it doesnt have HDR or 4k. I have no clue about the huge market of displays and would really like some input. Thanks in advance!
  3. It's just that time again and I am starting to upgrade my gaming system. I got a good deal from a friend on https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GeForce-Graphic-GV-N2080GAMING-OC-8GC/dp/B07GHQZF7W since he works at micro center. I upgraded to a Ryzen 7 2700x a short while ago. Everything is running well and now I'm looking into monitors as well as a slightly larger desktop case as mine is a bit cramped and on the small side. I currently have a 24" 144hz BenQ I got a couple years back and then just an old throw away 27" tv as a second monitor so I need to replace it. I'm trying to look into a 30" or more 4k IPS monitor but I'm not dedicated to those specifications except that it be around 30" or more. I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to displays so I am looking for some help. As far as budget goes I'm looking to spend between $650 to $800 and a good bang for my buck to get the most out of my new GPU. Brand new on here so if you need any more information to give some recommendations please feel free to ask I've been recommended this one by a friend who uses it, but again I don't know much when it comes to displays so I don't want to jump on a good price tag and make a mistake. hhttps://www.amazon.com/Designo-MX34VQ-Adaptive-Sync-Wireless-Frameless/dp/B01N4UQIGT/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1507586150&sr=8-1&keywords=mx34vq&linkCode=sl1&tag=pc-rog-20&linkId=0e9c802a4e84c016a0c7586c38f13888&th=1
