  1. Better have as many Fans blow air in and one place (Rear? Top?) to be a passive exhaust. Benefits?: Less dust Hot air is pushed out from every corner of your case When set properly more quiet than with exhaust fans You should probably invest in small water coolers and place them on one active exhaust
  2. Hearthstone, PayDay 2, NFS Underground and NFS World, EVE online (testing it. It's quite cool) and CS:GO for life. I also love Smite and iRacing
  3. It's a HAF XB EVO with i5 4670K, but without GPU And it's going to be painted WHITE and BLUE or GREEN and BLACK (But my MB is blue and I wanted it blue) And my i5 overclocks to 4.3 GHz without increasing voltage And It has a secret hideout for stuff when I go to LAN And it's a huge dirt sucker And I have no idea what I'm doing here And who even are you people? And what is the meaning of life? And @Enderman why are you playing so much minecraft? And @Enderman can you tell me how can someone spend so much time in game about placing blocks? And @Enderman what do you do when you play minecraft?
  4. My CoolerMaster HAF XB EVO suffers from dust eating Problems: (That require to be solved ) 1. CPU heatsink gets covered in dust pretty quickly (blades of heatsink are being covered in yellow dust on the corners) 2. Dust gets into the case through holes on cases sides. 3. On front mesh dust is pretty visible (Going to paint it white (Case will be white and blue)) 4. Is there any way to precisely check if i have positive pressure + side panels don't inhale any air/dust? What I've done: 1. Until I will obtain top 200mm vent It's covered with motherboards flat cartoon. 2. Side panels are covered with green mesh (By me) (I think it's from something medical) [img-1] 3. Front vents are mostly running at full speed (Manually controlled) (Original ones, I want to buy BFF-SPRO-P14025WW-RP Additional info: 1x Zalman CNPS14X (This b**ch is loud!) Front: 2 fans (Original-Max speed) Back: 1 fan (FN-AC9P-AC-01 - PWM speeds) + lower floor exhaust with 2x SilentiumPC 80x80x25 A story of my life: -I live on a block -It's hot (Summer), so now windows are wide open -PC is in my bedroom = dust from shelves AND from bed -Case is on the desk (Not under) Topics to referee: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/9767-extreme-positive-air-pressure-haf-xb/ Images: IMG1: It doesn't look very well Doesn't it? Btw. That white thing is my piece of paper for "hidden" notes My Idea: -Adding mesh filtration on rear and switching it to intake -Reversing CNPS14X to blow air from rear to front (Now it blows to rear) -200mm top exhaust At last: -Buy this: http://www.demcifilter.com/p0335/HAF-XB-Dust-Filter-Kit.aspx -Top and front Intake
  5. I heard that my MSI motherboard has something to control it over network. I heard about something called "wake on LAN" as someone stated. My friend told me there is even possibility (Maybe on certain MBs) to even control BIOS. I heard that you can do smthing like this with "wake on LAN" by configuring Router and having another PC send signal to the router that will wake my second PC (Words of my friend). I can build myself a silent PC for 100 bucks just to handle this with my router. Btw. I need this cause I manipulate files on servers (Download - Upload), but I'm away from home often. Doing this through expensive Cellular network on my Phone is not an option, but telling my PC at home to do this is an option. I would leave it for the time ON, but some people don't like the noice of it. (HDD is very loud in my PC. WD Caviar Green...)
  6. OH! So if you don't need to look at your HDDs, PSU n stuff than check out CoolerMaster HAF XB If you get one with window on top (Or buy it from them), then you can see your cool system from top
  7. @XTankSlayerX Is a first person that shows us that some intelligent people actually like New NFSs, but they are a niche in older/intelligent community. It all depends on our taste, but on Most Wanted Criterion I was driving for 2-3 weeks with little kiddos... Then I got bored and went back to NFS U1 for 666th play through Why I love Underground/Most Wanted1/Carbon? -Speed! Arcadish speed where you can feel like a god of wheel without feeling of driving in cartoon boxes. -Hyped story. I love all this "You are shit and you have nothing to say in this world. But you know you will destroy EVERYONE!" -Tuning. I love old style Half-Rice Tuning (Even my HAF XB will have a FnF Skyline looks ) -Fight! Underground is awesome, cause it's constant race. You jump from race to race, keep fighting and fighting landing in Tuner just to put new upgrade and some favorite body kits. Why I love ProStreet: -Tuning! All those stickers, vids between races with all this smoke flying logos Pure Power! -Drag, speed attacks. -Hype that this game squeezes into me Why I liked The Run: -Extreme difficulty (Squeezing every millisecond in my Chevy that has so much power it spins wheels on 3 gear, just to pass to next map.) Why I hate Criterion/Burnout style NFSs: -It's not my belowed Burnout Paradise! It's like an alpha version of it... -Booooring. You drive for what? Everything is unlocked... You can't change shit... You can only improve your time on this and this track... Fuck you Criterion! -Except Hot Pursuits constant drift and quite big traffic every game has shitty cartoon box like driving... Why I don't like The Run: -Only Xbox360 controller works on PC (And does it barely). I played every NFS on steering wheel (Except Criterion shit)
  8. Don't listen to Oradian. If SSD won't make a difference in BF it will make huge diff in everything else on your PC. You have no idea how much stuff is loading from your drive
  9. What is: Valeting cars? OnTopic: -First job was illegal I was repairing Xbox 360s at age 12-13 at home No TAXes and I was selling pirated games for 2$ (DVD is 0.75$?) Now I'm a PC repairs guy on my block, so people call me if they need any problem with their electronics or want to upgrade. I'm barely 16
  10. This calls for DIY. I have an idea how to do this, but you would need Simeone that can cut plastic and make plastic little doors. Rest is to buy battery connectors in electrical and connect to 12V in your PSU. It probably will need some electrical knowledge and would look DIY
  11. Just a quickie. Is there something that will allow me to turn my PC to silent state or turn it off completely and then turn it on from far away (Through 3G) and control it? I only need to turn it on. Auto Startup Teamviewer will do the rest.
  12. I don't get how you want your GPU to be disconnected from MotherBoard and lay on the other side of case. You can't connect it with SATA And I have never seend PCI adapters that would allow that... That's a weird dream you have mr. Azivegu.
  13. I'm using CoolerMaster HAF XB EVO. It's a very good cube It weights alot (So, If you have to go 5 floors to your LAN or smthing. You will need a second hand), but you can fit EVERYTHING in there! Watercooling with 2 reservoirs and 2 radiators? No Problem. 3 HDDs + 4 SSDs? No Problem (You can fit even more SSDs in there!) LEDs, Fan Controllers. Whatever you feel in your heart Check it out. + If you will ever want to give it more color, it's very easy to paint (Spray, brush or dipping)
  14. WAIT! Stay with HAF XB EVO!! 1.Are you going to use front mounted slide-in HDD slots that are there to be loud? Cause I don't use them at all (You can easily remove them) 2.Do you really need this Power Supply?
  15. As @MourningSouls said. If Case has lots of filters, mostly it's a good build that will last for a long time. What I like in this case is back (Looks like it has eyes ) and that it's just a black brick that you can put under your sound system or on a qubick shelf and it will not draw any attention
  16. Shit mate... I would change so much stuff in your rig... 1. For gaming you don't need nothing more than standard i5 or good i3. 2. For gaming you should top-up the GPU and put CPU that ur budget can handle. 3. For future upgrades you shouldn't go lower than 550W (I will be going GTX 880 and i5-4670K stock/under-clocked and I have 550 (Could have been 600, but I wasn't educated 6 months ago )) 4. If you want your rig to live through new games and Windows 9 + DirectX 12, you definitely need 3GBs+ VRAM (RAM of your GPU) 5. IF you want to save as much space as it's possible, get yourself a modular PowerSupply.
  17. Wouldn't it eat too much dust? I like your concept, but how can I paint EVERYTHING white? I just noticed... Im so dumb... I always wanted it blue... My MotherBoard is blue... But my RAM is GOLD (I like them tho) I'm about to make a blue-white pic. OK. So what about this:
  18. Sup people. Few months ago arrived my CoolerMaster HAF XB EVO. I like it, but the looks are not my type (I don't like BLACK boring cases). So, I'm here to take your advice with putting a green color on it (I like green and NVIDIA is green ) What you think about: 1.Color placement (What parts should, shouldn't be green or stay black.) 2.Color (brightness, saturation, hue/tint) 3.Your thoughts. (Other color better? Don't do this? Anything) FRONT Green Front Green Front + HDD bay Green Front + HDD bay + DVD Bay Back Side + Green Motherboard Tray + Green LEDs
  19. !!IDEA!! Switch to small watercooling radiator and put it over the GPU or under the case where 2 80mm are. When you place it on the only intake in the Case, you cut air flow for GPU which in games is used more than CPU (Used/Abused)
  20. Nice! Thank you But, should I save for R9 290 or go for the Case and wait for GPU to get cheaper?
  21. @joenewbie Check if there aren't any other holes in your Case that can suck in dust, cause maybe you have to take care of this kind of stuff first. Normal Fan Filters should be enough to stop any kind of dust from making your build like a desert for at least few months, so those shouldn't be a problem.
  22. HAF XB looks awesome! I definitely love it and It's only around 350 PLN, but there is this EVO version ( HAF XB EVO) which is even cheaper. Should it be XB or XB EVO? Are you certain all my stuff will fit in? Can you give me any more propostions? Wow! That CollerMaster is huge! (Bigger than my MidiTower) 8KG!! Is it a LAN case Mule Edition?! Hmmm. At Linus it looks very light... Hmmm...
  23. Hello gentlemen of the internet Im looking for a case for some time now and there were many thoughts, about how will I use it. Im moving my PC alot to friends for LAN parties, but carying a MidiTower around is pretty hard (It doesnt have GPU, but has 2 HDDs and it's heavy already) So. Is it possible to find a MiniTower that has: 1. ATX (Z87) 2. Space for Zalman CNPS14X (Around 18 cm from side to side) 3. Space for R9 290 4. Good cable management. (Best if cables can be hidden) 5. Can have at least 1 HDD (DVD drive ain't necesary and SSDs are too expensive and too small for me ) 6. If there is a variety which one has best airflow. If that ain't too much, thank you for your help
  24. Nah. Better get one with Watch Dogs (If it comes with BF 4 premium than it's worth it. If not then look for Watch Dogs)
