    I played since server stressing Beta phase till the first month after launch. The first month after launch feels exactly the same as stress test Beta (buggy, clunky, boring)... so, yeah... I rage quit after that one month... but been thinking to get back to try new updates...

    WatchDogs, Elder Scroll Online is part of the list in things I regret buying. Lumia920, somehow my unit has a lot of problem end up selling it and go back to my Nexus4 Asus Z77V-LK, turns out it is a very fragile motherboard and I had PCI-e problems within 1year of owning it CM Hyper 212 Evo, not that it is a bad cooler, in fact it is the best in that price range but maybe I had more unrealistic expectation on it so kind of regret it. Should have spend more from the beginning... OCZ Illuminati Keyboard, this is a very terrible keyboard after i know mechanical...

    Personally, I don't think it's necessary as I've been using without them lot of time before and never had any temp issue... but it is actually nicer to clean it properly before applying a new one. It's not vital...

    I'd say that logitech keyboard+touchpad combo is good but if you really want only controller you can use Logitech F710 as you can program the buttons. Or you can buy an air mouse, I think Linus mentioned in his latest cooling mod video that he's using it after he broke the receiver... Or you can use your phone as your touchpad/keyboard, I use my Android phone with Unified Remote.

    I generally stick to MSI nowadays. I have bad experience with Gigabyte once but that was very long ago... High likely they already improved a lot. My friend is using Gigabyte so far didnt heard any issue from him. I used to own Asus Z77V-LK for my ivybridge build, it is a very bad mobo. I had intermittent issue with the PCI-e, the DIMM slot is very fragile (though that is more on my fault than the board itself)... the utility suite is next to useless for me... That is just my experience... yours and others will definitely vary...

    I'm gonna go with yes, simply because I'm nVidia fanboy and AMD haters... B) PhysX rulleeeesssssssssssss.... and ShadowPlay... and GameStream!!!! and I'm rich... AMD is for poor gamers... :rolleyes: okay, on serious note... PhysX shouldn't be all the reason you want in a GPU... There are more games that use Havok compared to PhysX but for me, PhysX is more beautiful and if it's available I want to use it... so if you have the money go for it... if a gimmicky effects is not really something you appreciate just go for AMD...

    mine? i built it, i upgraded it, i changed its parts to keep it alive... right now the Seidon 240M radiator fans are actually outside of CMStorm Scout 2 sticking out on top with radiator inside, pull config... havent seen another guy doing it but i am pretty sure I am not alone...

    i myself use Razer Chimaera, not impressed with the sound quality. not to say it is bad but isnt good as well... my friends use Corsair Vengeance 2100 it does sounds pretty good and pretty comfortable... if you really need wireless solution Corsair is a pretty good solution...

    Lucid Virtu, basically enabling your iGPU and run it in parallel with your dedicated GPU. Useful when you want to use the iGPU features like QuickSync but from what I read usually it cause problems in games... I personally have never use it but to disable it should be as simple disabling your iGPU in BIOS. Probably google will yield better advice as I have never enabled it myself so dont take my words for it....

    Unfortunately the article is correct for the normal consumers who shops based on the Core-i names rather than technical specification.... when we look at the clock rate we normally can judge the performance difference between them but for people who lacks the technical knowledge, they might actually been fooled into thinking an i7 mobile is on par with i7 desktop in terms of performance when it actually shows the features enabled in the cpuTill today I still cant believe how inferior is my ivybridge laptop (i7) compared against sandybridge desktop (i5) in terms of cpu performance... But for me, if it can game i'll play...

    I used to do thin spread on the heat spreader and I think in my limited experience that is the best way but to achieve the appropriate thin is pretty much of a hassle to me that I think pea is the next best thing to do... line usually turns out to be too much... never tried Xs but that seems to be a definite too much...

    If you are using lucid, try to disable it.... lots of ppl reports it does cause stuttering... other than that i really cant find faults with your machine...

    The only way I imagined of owning one ROG stuff is from winning contests, giveaways, sweepstakes... never buying them.... high likely i will just sell it for money to buy something else....

    This is 2005/2006 cpu, it probably wont handle HD that well. I would recommend a cheap gpu to go along with it but you can always try first an see if it is any good... if it is not just drop in the cheap gpu... Edit:forgot that it is usff... probably can just try... but I dont think it handles well... at best it is choppy...

    I checked my MSI motherboard manual and it specify that the fourth pin is not connected.... is this issue exclusive to Asus or other manufacturer is following suit? Btw, if you think this is necroing just report it to the mod and let them take actions then? I dont call a continued discussion with something to useful to add into discussion even after years the thread is opened as necroing... this isnt a matter of bumping thread but to add more into the discussion. But if mod think that is necroing too then I dont mind to oblige...

    that is handled well by steam. steam will recognized all games copied as long as the folder hierarchy is maintained. you just tell steam in the option about the second directory, and steam will list out both for you to select when downloading the game. for the game you copied it should run from the new library you copied but i dont know what will happen if both games are in both directory i have never tried that. if I'm not mistaken steam has an option to select which one will be the default library so it probably will try to run from the default directory in such cases.

    Well, an example; on Windows 8 you can only run one Metro app even if you have 2 display... if you try to run another while one is already running, the first one will minimized even if you try to put it on 2nd screen... So, assuming these kind of problems should be fixed at release is a serious mistake... we are at the age of half-baked software is the full release version... :lol:

    I would say the original build is pretty good already, but really just ditch the sound card. I bought the DGX version as well and I can say that it's better than what Asus Z77V-LK has on board but I don't find it useful for most cases. Unless you are using multiple speakers to connect to different audio sources, I'd say just ditch them and use the money somewhere else. Add in a little bit u could get R9 280X if you ditch the sound card... Or just go with @CoolBeans suggestion...

    i for one wants to run Clash of Clan on pc coz i dont want to be glued to my android devices when i am at home... changing devices at home kinda a hassle for me... i am pretty sure many wants to play android games as well... but i really want them to change the name...

    because it is an intellectual property. plus, if they were to reuse certain code from old server into a new game server people might find loopholes before they do and abuse it. while it is do-able, a lot of things need to be considered as well. it's great if they can do it but i kind of understand why they dont and can accept it...
