  1. Yes, i actually pictured it more as a futuristic all-knowing computer in an episode of Stargate SG-1 or Doctor Who.
  2. Oh yeah, I totally did not think about that, so the multiple cores are not the real improvement for workloads, but more the performance of each core? Yeah, i certainly did not think of that as a consumer product and more like a science experiment ^^. As for the heat, even a motherboard made for this purpose would be stupidly expensive and ineffective. Well, you made my day, I can think of another not-so-great-imaginative-idea now !
  3. Hi! Before i ask my question, I want to precise that i did research answers on the forum and a little on the web aswell. We now have central processing units with 14nanometer process nodes and even less, this make a lot more place to add more "power" to the CPU, and i guess that this is why we can have 8 cores CPUs under a heatspreader that once was toping only one or two cores In addition to that, we see bigger CPUs like ThreadRipper or the new Xeon W-3175X going for 32, 28 cores, etc. Is there a way to make a CPU as big as a laptop with like 1500 cores? I know that it sounds stupid and that improving a CPU is more than multiplying the nodes, but hey, i can't get it out of my mind today so i came here (naturally ?) By the way, i also typed "Biggest CPU" / "Biggest processor" online, and i did not found what I was looking for, I even found things I definitely did not want to see.
  4. I love Comics, and accept the fact that super hero movies will always be comics-irl (meaning that's not possible, and will surely look stupid) but omfg I don't know who had the idea to make them say that much stupid lines !! Willem Dafoe was the funniest, i could not stop myself from laughing watching Aquaman
  5. They talked about this topic in the video, but they also said that they do not recommand since you have no way to know exactly what changes from the original driver it has been made of EDIT: Well, you found out too ^^
  6. I personnally love tech, but do only watch videos on computers, since I use my smartphone just to phone or text, and the occasional picture at family dinner ^^ But i can see why there is such noise around this topic, isn't it simply that some are trying to pull people on one standart rather than another and because of it content creators can't choose the good one for ALL users?
  7. I wish you luck, and am intered in wich settings causes you that problem! Having such a good config and crashing on a game like MHW can be unnerving !
  8. AC: Odissey is more demanding than MHW, both in CPU and GPU, if you had no problem running it it may be a special setting in MHW. Capcom added a lot of new settings in the last updates and some may have been automaticaly turned on, like HDR for exemple, and it might be more of a compatibility issue with your hardware than a "physical" problem. When you say two minutes of gameplay, do you mean that you actually managed to play or did it crashed before letting you play? Edit : The launch console of steam can allow you to force the game to adopt certain parameters, here is a link that shows how to use it and gives you a lot of settings you can enter to try to make it work properly : https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1040-JWMT-2947
  9. Do you mean that 1920x1080 native is what is making the BIOS cringe?
  10. Well, that's a strange thing xD I have seen a similar problem on Click Bios 5 when i was seeking answers to my "issue". I'm gonna find that thread, i think it was on msi forum... I see that you have the exact same board as mine, what is your BIOS version? Anyway I hesitate to wait and see if there is people having things to say about this thread or if I should close it.
  11. The board is a B450M Mortar Titanium and the GPU is a GTX1060 6gb (The Palit StormX one to be precise). I updated the bios to the last version thanks to MSI support, using the bios flashback button that the board has on the I/O. As for the GPU, i updated the driver to 417.35 wich is the most recent provided by nvidia. I do not know if does touch to the GPU BIOS, I am of very litlle experience in the matter of GPU BIOS
  12. Well, I guess it will not be much of a problem, but I am pretty annoyed by this At least I am not the only one in this situation, at first I was gonna turn off WHQL Support, but the bios and splash screen are so ugly when I do so...
  13. Hi, I am posting this on LTT forum since no french relative has been able to tell me what is happening to my system! Since i have enabled WHQL support in the bios of my b450m mortar titanium, I see artifacts for not even a half second between the post splash screen and the login screen of windows 10. After hours searching the source of this phenomenon, it appears to be linked to WHQL support, since it never happens when it is disabled. I have no performance or heat issue, in the bios as well as in Windows 10. My monitor is plugged in DVI and allow only DVI or VGA and since my GPU doesn't have VGA (what a shock) i can't test with a different cable. I plugged in my TV and those strange lines appears on it too anyway. Does someone knows why this is happening? My config is: -Ryzen 5 2600X -Artic Freezer 33 -Palit Stormx GTX1060 6Gb -MSI B450M Mortar Titanium -G.Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4 3200Mhz -Kingston A400 240Go (Win10 boot drive) -Toshiba HDWD110 1To -Cooler Master Elite V3 500W (soon to be swapped for a MasterWatt 650, that is overkill but no more ketchup mustard cables ?) -Monitor is an ASUS VS229 -Windows 10 Pro 64bits, cleanly installed a week ago The system is 2 weeks old, except the video card who is 4 months old Thanks for your time LTT people, hi from France
