Regarding the whole Billet thing...it seems like the logistics and inventory team at LTT is....kinda terrible at their jobs?

    1. Billet sends waterblock and 3090Ti, 3090Ti goes missing.
    2. LTT is forced to shoot a video with a completely different GPU.
    3. Billet asks for waterblock back, someone at LTT says they'll send it back, doesnt send it back.
    4. Waterblock presumably gets misplaced, and someone mistakenly puts it up for auction.
    5. Someone loses auction winner tracking sheet, forcing LTT to reach out auction winners by email.

Just seems like a lot of this could have been avoided if 3rd party product inventory were taken more seriously and properly itemized and tracked.

LuckyDrive got a reaction from Mattias Edeslatt in Pre-attached heatsink has fallen off MSI motherboard. Help?
Hey man, just wanted to say thanks for the ho and info!

Based on your post, I decided to look for bigger heatsinks. Also looked up some graphs regarding TDP's and appropriate heatsink volumes. Attached pictures of the fix I did using some double sided thermal tape.

I think I did a pretty good job. Unfortunately I don't have an extra drive to test. Instead I've been running HWINFO during gaming and Cinebench (though I understand these tests won't actually stress the chip itself), but the temps for the chipset seem perfectly fine, sitting around 41 - 45 degrees (I believe the chipset shows up as PCH in HWINFO, please correct me if I'm wrong though).

Anyway just wanted to say thanks a lot for the help everyone.

Dude...you don't wait 6 years after paying for something to start going "Hmmm, maybe I should do something about this". You don't even wait 6 months. I understand that it's a custom job and setbacks happen, but...6 years?!?! People get houses built in less than a year. A house. You've been scammed. They took your money and laughed at you.

Be more responsible with you money man, and don't let people take you for a ride...

That makes sense, I actually didnt realize they were being released so soon. Might as well wait.

How can I find out if my current board has decent VRMs? I'll probably just upgrade my motherboard anyway.

Thanks, yea I've actually slowly been upgrading it over the years. Started with just the 2400g, 8 gb of ram and the 1 tb hard drive. First I increased the ram, then I bought the GTX 1660, an SSD, and then most recently I added the nvme. So now I'm trying to figure out which way to go. I think I'll probably upgrade the CPU and get a new mother board while Im at it. And then maybe by 2021 I can grab a brand new GPU.

    Thanks for the help everyone.
