I would take a try with two 4TB hard drives, since they cost barely higher than 2TB ones. However, be cautious that there have been hard drives implementing SMR marketing, which perform poorly and are harder to recover data from failure.
The following models are recommended since they implement relatively safe CMR:
WD40/42PURX ST4000VX000/001/007/015/016 Also, the cheapest marketing SSDs are actually not necessarily made of QLC chips, rather having TLC chips with some early defects. Still, they cannot be considered safe for storing critical data.

Lastly, RAID is not necessarily needed for redundancy. Other solutions like cloud backup or local Rsync can be considered.

Hope these would help you ❤️

    What hardware?

Best is all GPT, but you need the BIOS configured in UEFI mode, not Legacy/CSM which is probably the case now if it "said you needed MBR".

for £110 you can get an rx580 with 2 years warranty from cex:

Unfortunately WMR headsets have poor availability/price in Europe, so your options are probably limited to used Rift or Vive headsets. There are a bunch of tradeoffs between them, they're both solid options. Your system will run either of those headsets fine.

Gigabyte Fusion software is pretty bad and there is no form of calibration or anything as far as i know. Also i the P350X works on a 3 pin addressable RGB header and i think (don't hold me to this) the P400 uses a 4 pin.

    Relevent PC Specs:
    Ryzen 5 2600
Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite Motherboard (With RGB)
RX 580 4GB Aorus Gaming (With RGB)
    Phanteks P350X (With RGB)

So when i use the gigabyte rgb fusion software (no other software works at all) the rgb is in sync but the problem is:

When the software, graphics card and motherboard are set to BLUE the case is GREEN.
When the software, graphics card and motherboard are set to GREEN the case is RED.
When the software, graphics card and motherboard are set to RED the case is BLUE.

I don't know how to fix this. Maybe with an adapter? rewiring?
Also IK that my Gigabyte fusion is no officially supported.

Ok so i tried the f12 and f9 keys on startup and what happened for both was:
    i started spamming the key
    the rgb lights came on
the lights stayed on as if something has happened (never booted into windows)
and my monitor was like "Cable not connected" (from some reason no signal and cable not connected is the same thing to my monitor so i assure you that is not a problem)
i had to press the power button to turn it off and again to turn it back on to get into windows again

I cant reset the bios right now but i may try in the future.

kartelious reacted to goto10 in Can't get in to BIOS
have bios in legacy is just a compatibility feature you can enable, is useful sometimes, doesnt harm really

the problem with modern motherboards is that as you see they boot too fast, is worse if fast boot is enabled, i couldnt enter on mine anymore untill i went the path i already mentioned and disabled fast boot

yo could try using the f12 or f9 keys on keyboard that are other bios options, on some motherboards those options offer a enter in bios option sometimes

but if you can, get a ps2 keyboard, with those the bios has to respond

the last option would be remove motherboard battery, put the jumper in clear cmos and turn pc on for 20 seconds, turn pc off and remove jumper, put battery back

that process wipes bios, but to be honest, some bios now refuse to be wiped, at least mine did that

with a bios wiped you should be able to enter in bios easier
