My friend is having serious issues with his desktop. He has been unable to get anything to respond in file explorer as it continues to load then go black and every once in a while display the 8gb of pictures he was attempting to move from his dads phone off one drive. If you have any input it would be greatly appreciated.

Solved, unlock before pc notices it was locked and it worked fine.

I was really wondering if we could take the usb and/or turn off the computer without damage.

I am trying to help a friend install windows onto his brand new pc through discord video chat. He only had access to a usb that he borrowed from his dad and his dad from work. The usb has a locking feature that asks for a password when used but he had tried to download windows from it. We are currently stuck at a screen that is asking for drivers to be installed; this segment looks very similar to the one you are faced with when sorting out partitions but it is before that step. It was only the second step after language.

@Od1sseas @samcool55 Idk why but for some reason I had doubt, but it worked beautifully. For not too long before I was looking up my cpu and seeing people say it was bad for gaming and was only really useful for doing stuff with 3d animation programs and I was shook. Thank you both for helping this pc main wanna be get his setup up and ready. All I need now is some money for a full copy of windows 10 lol.

I don't exactly have a licnense since I switched hardware. It tells me that I need to activate windows. The situation is that before I changed parts my uncle deleted everything off and did a clean install off windows, then when i changed out parts the message appeared.

So I can go to the official website and reinstall windows to my HDD from there? I found something on there website never mind me.

I have a decent connection so I should be ok hopefully, just a few pain staking hours later haha.

Welp it seems my problem may have been solved but I'll only know after I go through, I'll keep this forum updated as I'll probably wait until I can afford a new HDD or until I have a second copy of windows

Oh how do I proceed, and can I do this without having to reinstall the games I have. If there isn't an option I'll be forced but I'm hoping.

I did delete most of everything I could find but I still noticed some amd stuff running in task manager from time to time. I did end them but maybe that could be the answer?
