  1. Oh good point. On the packaging it states 5 volts. If that's the case, will running the fans at a low voltage/speed such as that affect my cooling negatively? Here's my setup: i7 4770K (3.5Ghz) GTX 970 Strix EVGA 650G PSU Note that I'm a casual gamer who doesn't overclock and usually plays the latest titles on highest optimal settings.
  2. Hey guys, My newly built computer was running a little loud using the H100i fan adaptor as well as the Asus Fan control software was too wonky to toy with so I bought two Bitfenix (3x) 3 Pin Fan to Molex connectors and hooked them up to my PSU (evga 650g) using the PATA port (6 pin) since I didn't see anything else for peripheral molex connectors on the back. Now the fans are running extremely quiet but they seem to be moving a lot slower than before to the point i can barely see the blades in their rotation. Am I doing something wrong or is this natural? Thanks so much!
  3. Thanks for all the time and dedication you've put into making such awesome content Linus. I and everyone I know look to you for top notch technology advice and I don't know what we'd do without you! Congrats on your 1 Million suscriber and hope for 9 million more!
  4. Hey guys, I'm running into a tricky issue with my 2 month old pair of Bose Companion 5 speakers. As of 5 days ago, my speakers emit no sound after ~20 minutes of use while watching some YouTube series. The control pod is lit green, verifying that there is power going to the unit, however I cannot get any sound to play from my speakers on any source. Restarting the computer or unplugging and replugging the speaker unit is the only way I can get my sound back (which lasts only another 20 minutes before the cycle begins). I've done some googling, and other people have had this issue as well but with no solid resolution. Can anyone suggest any solutions for my issue? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Hey guys, it's been about 2 weeks now that my PC has been acting up. I've reverted some unsuccessful overclock attempts on my GPU and power dusted my PC then now and again, my PC decides to completely freeze up, leaving my screen blank with mouse and keyboard unresponsive (LEDs off) forcing me to reboot. On startup, a disk check always occurs but no errors are shown or resolved. Can I get some insight from the LinusTech Gurus? 6. Alright I'll have to try that out then. No harm done in that case. I keep everything at stock speeds, so switching over won't have an impact on my GTX760, correct?
  7. That's strange that my PC would overheat even when I'm just using Chrome or playing League of Legends haha. Yeah I have another one I can try using. However, I'm afraid of trying it out since it's only x8 and not x16. Would it throttle my GPU's performance if i'm using that type of PCIE slot? Sorry, I'm not too familiar with these technicalities.
  8. Hello everybody! I've been having some issues this week with my PC that are quite strange... At any given time, my computer will completely freeze (if on desktop) or my game will start massively stuttering until my keyboard and mouse becomes unresponsive and my monitor no longer receives a signal. At this point, all I can do is reboot the computer. I have no idea what's causing it but the only significant events involving my computer was a major cleaning of my computer and attempted to overclock my GPU (ended up rolling it back anyway). Forgot to mention i'm using Windows 7 Home Premium =] All your help is appreciated. Thanks! 9. Simple, clean and a perfect gaming setup. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Yay! Free guns I don't use! I'll have to switch to my sidearm eventually...if they don't kill me first haha.
  11. In the current generation of FPS games, I'd have to say BF4 is the most popular at the moment, CS:GO is fast paced and simple (with the exception of modded servers), TF2 offers many different fun game modes and a cartoony twist, but you should look forward to Titanfall FOSHO!
  12. I believe you get a warning after leaving 4-6 games. TBH, don't leave games, just dodge queues. That way, you won't be wasting 20-30 minutes of other people's time and you'll gain some much needed experience with League, some of which may be: dealing with other leavers, feeders, ragers, etc. Besides the point, don't play if you know you have internet issues. Resolve them with your ISP and see exactly where the problem lies.
  13. I sure hope they don't add some micro transaction "premium edition" bullshit. Otherwise, if it's pure 100% gameplay w/ continuous updates and added features, then I'm sold. If I can find an experience similar or even better than what I got for the original first COD Modern Warfare, then I'm set!
  14. To be honest, I couldn't believe the Titanfall beta ended so quickly. I was really invested into taking the time to level up and unlock new weapons and features. My only concern is that the playability of the game, like any other FPS, is that you'll get tired of it after a couple weeks or a month of solid gameplay and to me, that doesn't seem like its worth a full $60. Right now, I'm currently waiting to see more new content being added to the game and wait for feedback from PC gamers on their experience. If improvements and added features to the game are lacking, then it would just feel like playing the beta over again.
  15. I quite enjoyed Titanfall, it was a refresh on the FPS genre and an exciting one at that. However, being a fan of open-world sandbox games, I'd have to say I'd much rather spend my "last moneyz" on GTA V IF they can integrate a PC Gamer worthy multi-player experience. In that sense, I'd say Titanfall is 10x a bigger hit for multiplayer, however the general gameplay of any Grand Theft Auto series outways the play time you'd invest compared to any other FPS game.
