So we just had an ADT security system installed in our home , and my sister challenged me to bypass it ( lol ) , and I'm thinking,
would this work? If so , is it not a security flaw?
So the way our system works is it has detectors on all doors and windows and motion detectors inside the house.
After any detector is tripped we have 60 seconds to punch the security code into the keypad / control thing before it sends an signal to ADT who then would then dispatch police.
One thing I've noticed though, is that they have a connector plugging into the router via an Ethernet cable , this connector then obviously connects to the keypad/control thingy wirelessly
But that makes me think - so what would prevent a smart burglar from just breaking in through the window, ( and they have 60 seconds before alarm is sent to adt ) and in that time frame just finding the router and unplugging the ADT thing from it? Would it not then be unable to send the alarm to anywhere?
