  1. Exclusives beeing counted as a plus is a weird take tbh. It doesn´t add anything to the experience. A console doesn´t get better because it has exclusives.
  2. The whole AI labelling is getting ridiculous. A mouse button that is programmed to translate a highlighted text is a macro. Not AI. And the BBQ thing? Really? That´s just me adjusting the software, there is nothing intelligent about that.
  3. Well, can´t take GN serious with their policies as long as they keep not meeting their own standards. I mean they treat LTT like a company because they sell merch (that was the inital reason to do that when the backpack warranty thing happened) but der8auer who selsl actual tech is a friend. Yeah. They do have good reviews and in depth videos, but they shouldn´t act as the moral police when they can´t meet their own guidelines.
  4. It really seems you two didn´t pay attention in that video. I know what the definition of a CEO is supposed to be, however they made it clear that this is a special case. Maybe watch the video again?
  5. @mMontana @William Payne Usually you are right. But did you even watch the videos where they talked about this? They specifically hired him for Linuse to get rid of the daily CEO related workload and not to lead the company. Also Linus is still the owner. If he says no, it´s no. No matter what the CEO wants.
  6. He is still running LMG. They hired a CEO for all the business stuff and literally not for decision making in any creative process or in wich direction LMG is going in the future. Like the new CEO can´t just say we are going to shut down the whole MacAdress channel for example. He was hired to get all the non tech, non creative related business stuff done and take work off of Linus. Not to actually lead the company.
  7. @Kresnik-02 Well, i try, i just could watch it now that people here posted the link for streamable and i am in 20mins now. But tbf the topic is very dry. It wouldn´t acutally matter who i listen to talking about internal policies. It would always be a pain. @Spec7re There is a link to streamable on page 2 where you can watch it.
  8. Well i saw GN literally calling him a friend a few times already and yet he did have his stuff on their videos and got sponsored by ThermalGrizzly also on some videos. And in the video that was deleted he said he will not allow buddy to buddy relationships within the industry as that will allow corruption to seep in. Well we will see what the future brings. Look i don´t mean to tell people who they can be friends with, but if you start treating people in your industry a certain way you gotta stay true to your word and live with the consequences.
  9. What does bother me with GN is his take that other youtubers are seen as corporations if they sell things (wich was what GN said when the backpack released about LTT) and are treated the same as any other company. (Wich is fine, good take). But at the same time Der8auer doesn´t get treated like that. And Der8auer does sell tech/hardware and not just merch. His deliding tools, the CPU frames and he is CEO of ThermalGrizzly. (I am assuming he also is at least partly owner) Or did this change now and was adressed in the video?
  10. I just read the statement that was posted from GN why it was put down. And they said the delivery and the tone of the video weren´t appropriate. And knowing GN i assumed he was kinda cocky. He has that attitude in videos sometimes, especially when they do those accusing videos.
  11. @LinusTechLies Well starting the sentence with "I guess" does make that pretty clear i would say. I never got the chance to watch it. I don´t trust your take on that tbh, you are obviously a GN fan.
  12. Well i guess Steve was way to cocky, praising themselves as the saviour for the customer in that video, kinda being arrogant? @LinusTechLies GamersNexus is also just a corporation. Never forget that. Everyone who does YT for a living is a corporation. You can´t trust GN more than any other youtuber. < removed by moderation >
  13. The Only Fans account? What? Whose OF account are we talking about here? Why would LTT have an OF account?
  14. Yeah, that video felt forced choosing an expensive AIO to be able to beat the price. The Arctic Liquid Freezer 360 (non rgb) costs less than the half of what that corsair AIO costs over here. 220€ vs 105€. And the Liquid Freezer is a good AIO. Propably better than the Corsair one iirc. Still a fun video to watch, only the "We beat the price of a regular AIO" was kinda cringe. No one gives a flying fish if this beats the price tbh. Even with double the price for the selfmade AIO it would have been a good video.
  15. Yeah, those games used might work mostly fine at 21°C (wich is not realistic, at least not in europe during summer). But one Indie or early access title or even just a freshly released AAA game that is poorly optimzed and all that goes out the window. Like 7 days to die, wich is kinda popular even constanly in the top50 on steam, easy +15°C when there is a horde. Luckily there is Noctua, wich is basically a one time investment for lifetime buying the NHD15.
  16. Saying this isn´t a threat to other manufacturers because it´s in the mid-low range is false imo. People buy WAY more x600 xx60 cards than higher tier ones. Outside the enthusiast bubble 500$ is already a lot for a GPU. Still won´t be a huge thread for now due to limited usability but in the future it might be, especially if they do start exports.
  17. @Poinkachu That´s what it used to be, at least some years ago. I had a period where i had wireless keyboards they all used standard batteries. And they lasted quite long. I feel a bit that this video idea is forced, even with RGB i can´t imagine that batteries don´t last longer than a month. Wich really shouldn´t trigger anyone tbh. If the batteries of a modern keayboard need to be recharged every other day or week, the problem isn´t the cable but a crappy battery.
  18. I am really not much into keyboards using cheap generic ones and it has been quite some years since i had a wireless one, but that one had no cable.I assume that the keyboards now don´t have room for simple rechargable batteries that you can simply change like it used to be with wireless keyboards?
  19. You think 2 monitors or more is normal? Nope. Not for the average gamer. Money is the reason. Most people simply can´t afford GPU`s good enough for higher resolution. The most used GPU on steam is the GTX1060. I witnessed this in several PC Forums that you can easily get lost in a bubble of other enthusiasts, youtubers and streamers, and there 1440p is the sweetspot and the lowest must. But the majority of gamers isn´t even tech savy. Even on PC.From my experience on a lot of gaming forums over years, i would say 50% of pc gamers would struggle to get a 2nd monitor running properly
  20. Nope. It´s still 1080p. Steam survey shows that 67% still play on 1080p. I mean if you watch tech channels you would think otherwise. But they all are too far away from reality.. Especially now, where the living costs everywhere are skyrocketing, 1080p will stay the most used for a longer time. A lot of people right now struggle to pay for gas and electricity. Upgrading your monitor and GPU is not something most people will think about this christmas. It´s so far away from reality to call 8K gaming a bandwagon it isn´t even funny if told as a joke. It wouldn´t even be funny to call 4K gaming a bandwagon.
  21. @DeltaBruggemann It already has shipped. There is reviews on the store page so obviously people already have them and paid for them. And i really don´t care why, if i spend 250$ on something i expect everything to be clear about warranty. That´s just how a professional business should work no matter who or what product.we talk about. The public outcry and playing catchup only happened because the whole issue wasn´t done how it should be done. Really their own fault. Would you buy a CPU if you had no clue about warranty? One that is quite expensive for what it is, mind you. Not saying it´s overpriced, i am sure the price is ok for the quality, but it is an expensive backpack.
  22. Yep, got that meanwhile @dogwitch. I just don´t understand how you can release a product that has gone trough a long phase of development and aren´t able to get the warranty done in time. Imagine any hardware company doing that. Linus would shit all over them in a video.
  23. I just know that if i spend 250$ on a backpack that i am gonna use almost daily, i am for sure buying one that has at least 3 years of warranty. Doesn´t matter who sells it. That said, i couldn´t find anything about the backpack warranty on the store. How long is it now? Just the 6 months that are forced by law? (Found out that warranty is still WIP meanwhile) Tbh a store where i can´t find the warranty immediately is something i won´t shop at. And i can´t understand that a product that was planned for so long now is released and the warranty is still WIP.
  24. We need more reviews of cards for HD. About 67% on steam play FHD. GTX1060, 1650 and 1050TI beeing the most used cards. And i don´t see that changing at all tbh. From beeing around on a lot of gaming forums, most people who buy a new PC wanna stay under 1200$ (monitor not included). Wich is basically what this card costs.
