  1. @lemtea when i was fielding with the battery troubleshooting myself, I had my sisters mac on hand and tried that battery and it had done the same so I had figured it must have been the battery so I am starting to have the feeling that it may be indeed a logic board issue, but I did put the Hard drive into the mac as mentioned and it didn't detect either
  2. It doesn't stay on while disconnected. I had gotten it from micro center and I think its decent quality and yes I installed it correctly @Lemtea
  3. Hey, I'm one the new guys here on the forums and I know y'all can probably help with this. So my macbook pro 13' from 2010 need a new battery and the battery life or parentage didn't show up on the menu bar, and every time I go to settings and try to bring it back onto the menu bar it disappears the moment I click it. There is a new battery in there (which i may have damaged but i'm unsure but i'm certain it still works) I've re-installed OSX High Sierra
