  1. Hi guys. First time I succeeded to make something like in the video link following video. Then I reinstalled Windows and I remember copied 2 files in each of MSI AB and RivaTuner folders. Dunno if that matters but worth to mention. Then I followed exact steps like in the video from the link below, but I get an issue like in pic below (2 overlays stacked ), which I don't want. What am I doing wrong? I just want the overlay like from yt link below.
  2. I suppose it does....this is while running Unigine Heaven benchmark
  3. Hi guys. I've followed the link below to make that OSD but I am not getting parameter for GPU power,it is stuck at 1W. Help is appreciated.
  4. Hi guys I purchased used out of warranty Alienware 17 R3 with i7 6820K and GTX 980M. As you can see while stress testing these are temps (pics below) are they too high and what can I do about it? I did not open the laptop, watched the vids seems to complicated and we here do not have PC technicians for such jobs. I watched some reviews (mostly amazon) and this CPU seem to get really hot, so I am not only one. The problem is that CPU throttles at around 95° C. Would replacing thermal paste on both GPU and CPU help, or this laptop is as it is, it has an issue with cooling which I don't think. This laptop is robust and heavy and I don't think Dell messed up with cooling on this model. Last 2 pics are temps while idle, the rest of pics are under load (Unigine Heaven and cpu-z).
  5. Yeah but will I have full pci-e 3.0 x3 speed on second one?
  6. Hi guys. I want to upgrade this laptop with nvme KC3000 device instead of this hynix m.2 SSD 256GB model. Will my device support it? I know I will have pci-e 3.0 x3 speed I suppose which I don't mind. Just want to know if the laptop will support both nvme (samsung+kingston) running at pci-e 3.0 x3 speed. This is model with 6820hk CPU.
  7. So anyone explain me how PC works normallynout of the chasis and inside I do get no video output error? What would my next steps be?
  8. So better do not remove it then? I thought 68 C in idle is too high.
  9. I did wiggle it but nothing happens. I am affraid of doing it harder cuz of breaking solder balls under GPU?
  10. Okay. So temp is in idle 68 C which seem a lot to me. I pushed these 2 plastic pieces and they are not holding anymore cooler to tje pcb. But I am still unable to remove the passive cooler from GPU. I used hairdryer not much help. I want to replace the thermal paste in case that idle temp is too high.
  11. So i removed all the pci-cards, removed optical drives, removed MoBo from case. Installed only AGP graphics card that was previously installed but swapped the PSU since I did not want to bother removing second PSU from case. And PC booted fine. Now this is interesting. What would be my second step? To try to boot with older PSU?
  12. Nope... How about me removing everything from PC case and then trying to boot up the PC?
  13. Still getting no video input. The chasis is in pretty bad conditon could it be the cause that bracket of the graphics card is somehow touching the motherboard? Even when I remove the graphics card from AGP slot still is hard to remove it from chasis, like its making contact somewhere between MoBo and chasis.
  14. Yep.Same issue not showing pic on monitor.
  15. Okay, so on first PC I blow away the dust on agp slot and reseated the card and now working fine... What should I try on second PC?
  16. I am getting one long and 2 short beeps. I can see red light working which means PV boots fine, just I don't get picture. Maybe monitor died? Hmmm, I am thihking that somehow I shorted out something (monitor) with older PC and now newer PC does not show picture...it nevet happened with newer PC (lets say PC 1) is newer , PC 2 (older).
  17. Yes I can.But on first PC I did not remove the card.PC was booting fine. I did check pins of the GPU on second card and they are okay. Not sure how to check pins on AGP slot, need multimeter?
  18. Nope sorry.Don't have spare AGP cards. But that PC was working fine. Never before issues until now. Who knows, maybe I shorted out the GPU with bad cable...
  19. Hi guys. I have 2 old PCs one of them was working normally and second one not showing picture on monitor at all though probably booting fine. Rarely like one out of 20 tries this PC behaves normally. Suddenly even second PCs started having same issue. No picture on monitor. I bought 2 new VGA cables, still same issue. Now none of them is showing picture on monitor. VGA is only video output.Second older PC has DVI but I don't get pic over DVI too. How come suddenly PC which was working fine now showing same symptoms as not working one? 2 new cables, no help. On newer PC I do hear at boot one long and 3 short beeps. It's a AMD Sempron Athlon XP PC and second one is PIII @500 MHz.
  20. Hi guys. For long time I have this issue with this retro PC which I don't want to throw away. Usually I don't get any pic at all on monitor and sometimes it works perfectly normal. Slight move on case and issues again. As you can see this plastic which hold bracket of graphics card is broken, but graphics card is firmlly in place though there is a lot of move up and down around AGP socket. I tried different card same issue. But at frist power on I got one long and 3 short beeps. The mobo is Soyo. What can I do to stop having this issue? Yeah I cod drill the hole on bracket and put screw in it but would require a lot of work and I would need to remove the MoBo because I dont want pieces of metal around MoBo. 20240218_152147.jpg
  21. Hi guys. I am writing this with purchased used device, having lots of issues. 1.First issue is when I choose shutdown option the laptop does not shutdown, it goes in some weird sleep state (both LEDs are blinking, red on Lenovo logo and white led on power button). The only way to turn off the device is when holding power button for longer time. 2.When choosing reboot option it just hangs on, and never reboots just stuck at reboot. Is this hardware or software related? I did ran Hardware scan with Lenovo Vantage and all the tests are passed. There are 3 drivers not installed in device manager but none which probably have to do with this above. Besides I could not find drivers for it, nor over Windows update nor with third party software. I am running Windows 11 Enterprise.
  22. So no one replied me on how much tolerance of a wear level in % for good battery would be?
  23. It's a 7 y old laptop guys so I can not expect miracles. I just asked on how trustful these data can be. Because I had weird issue with last laptop I purchased and returned to seller.
