  1. Can someone show me what the disk management SHOULD look like in this scenario? Keep in mind that only Windows OS and Microsoft Office are installed on these drives at the moment? 500 GB Samsung 970 Evo - OS and Programs 1TB Crucial - Files and Storage
  2. I'm also thinking, since I've already done the clean install with the Samsung without the Crucial plugged in, could I just wipe the Crucial?
  3. I'm not sure I understand how to wipe both disks on the same system running off those disks. Seems like I'm missing something from the searching I've done. Can you break it down so I don't screw something up in the process? Again, completely new to this.
  4. Sorry if this is in the wrong section--couldn't decide if this was storage or OS related... Just completed my new build with Windows 10, a 500GB Samsung 970 Evo m.2, and a 1TB Crucial Sata SSD. The intention was to use the Samsung as a boot drive and put my other programs on there, and to use the Crucial as the drive to save all docs, photos, vids, etc. to. Upon booting and fresh install of Windows 10, I noticed my Crucial SSD wasn't showing up as a drive to save to. While looking at the disk management to verify, I noticed the Crucial had a System Reserved partition on it--which to me said Windows was actually installed on the Crucial instead of the Samsung. So I shut down the computer, disconnected the Crucial, and re-installed Windows onto the Samsung. It looks like I may have misunderstood because a Windows.old folder was created meaning Windows already existed on the drive. I used the Disk Cleanup to remove the prior versions of the Operating System. After everything had been installed and all updates done, I shutdown the computer, re-connected the Crucial SSD, entered BIOS to confirm it was showing up under SATA and that the Samsung was still shown as the boot priority, and loaded everything up. Now, looking at the Disk Management, this is what I'm seeing and I'm at a loss... So before I go any further, can anyone help me with the steps to manage the disks to be set up the way I've intended. Feeling like a total noob, but this is how we learn, right?
