  1. I filled out a warranty form on their site so let's see what happens. I didn't mention whether I wanted a repair or refund yet, ill see what they say but under ACCC laws I should be entitled to a brand new PSU of the exact same model at a minimum. It's really not a concern if they keep breaking as I only need the PSU to last 2 years of the 7-year warranty. If it happens a second time ill just insist in a full refund and compensation for shipping then get the RM750x because the GPU was only pulling around 300W at 1738Mhz 1.05Mv
  2. I already started an RMA with Corsair so do you think i should put that on hold and try with PCCG then?
  3. @LukeSavenije @jonnyGURU @1kv I'm just pissed that they will probably force me to pay for shipping when its not my fault that their product was crap.
  4. It was a really sudden failure as well. Had seemed to be working fine for that short period of time. Could it be something to do with the Vega GPU? Some PSU's seemed to have problems.
  5. Still got 6 years and 359 days left of warranty haha
  6. I must be insanely unlucky or their Q.C testing is crap
  7. After weeks of searching, I picked out a new PSU, ordered and received it. (Corsair TX850M, Tier A PSU) I used it for less than a week and it burnt then died... a quality product that definitely deserved to be at Tier A and recommended by multiple people. Especially after I got called an idiot for thinking my old PSU was good EVEN THOUGH IT'S STILL WORKING ON THE SAME LOAD! Basically, this is a short PSA that you shouldn't listen to anyone online, not even on these forums. Some people can be great and give advice but take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt! Proof Of Purchase
  8. Then I have no clue. I can stream fine on a CPU worse than yours with SLOBS. Might just be settings in SLOBS then?
  9. Could you try streaming and show your Task Manager with usages, that would help. What software are you running as OBS may be using all your CPU, also your internet connection may just be too slow.
  10. The card i have does really well on 900Mv so when i fix this psu situation, im sure i could push it properly to over 1700mhz on like 1.05 - 1.1
  11. @Comic_Sans_MS Okay, all arguments aside... basically I should just pick somthing in tier S or tier A that isn't overkill? Like a TX850m or something...
  12. I haven't been able to properly test what the card can do yet because of the PSU but on the undervolting side, it's doing outstanding. Hopefully, that carries over to the OC
  13. @Marscoy A. This is only a synthetic test so it's not really showing real-world performance but for single core performance, there is little difference while in multi-core workloads the 6300 would be better. It's such a small difference that I don't think it would improve much.
  14. @Stefan Payne Okay so, 1) What's so bad about the G-Series specifically? Just a lack of features or do they have serious problems that I'm not aware of as I've never had a problem up until this stage. 2) If the marketing mumbo jumbo is stating 1000W Recommended and you have almost half that amount I'm pretty sure there is something wrong there. 3) Using the new AMD GPU monitor I can see how many W it's pulling and I also used a crappy wall electrical meter which shows the pull from the system as a whole, normally sitting at around 450-505w under load on the undervolt. 4) If I try and use the settings I wanted to, those being: P6: 1150mV P6 Core: 1632Mhz P7: 1200mV P7 Core: 1685Mhz HBM V: 1050mV PwrLmt: +50% I would be drawing an insane amount of power, well and truly over 550w P.S: I'm not a PSU guy so sorry if I sound like a dumbass and dont know the correct terminology. I'm just here to learn and appreciate the suggestions so far.
  15. @Comic_Sans_MSIt already been addressed and corrected by " Quadriplegic" about how the 80+ Efficiency rating actually works so i now know. And I don't understand why you have you are so salty about my crappy old PSU that I'm trying to get rid of? The box for the RX Vega 64 Recommends a 1000W PSU, well over what my current one is and slightly over what I've been looking into. The CoolerMaster CM Storm 550W 80+ Bronze is not a bad PSU and has a decent rating in Australia. It's got C6 and C7 support for my CPU and has worked perfectly for a few years now, only having issues when my GPU is in Turbo or a custom OC setting. Yes, it is a Tier D PSU but that's fine for my old budget build with a RX480. I think you are the that has no idea what they are talking about. 550W IS NOT ENOUGH, every single PSU calculator estimates that it should draw over 600W. Right now, under minimal load on a 900mv Undervolt, i'm drawing close to the limit of my current PSU.
