  1. Thank you. I'll be programming on it in VSCode and am planning on doing some video encoding (in x264, 1080p). Again thanks for all the advice guys, really appreciate it!
  2. I am only able to find ones with ryzen 5 instead of 7 which are with 3050, IDK if that makes any difference on gaming or heavy tasks. I only have experience in desktop Ryzen (I have R5 3600 which is a beast, but on mobile it might be a better idea to go with R7, even if it is an older generation). will do, thanks for the advice.
  3. Well, the thing is that I don't play too demanding games, but I'm planning to buy GTA VI when it finally launches. I am playing these titles specifically: Binding Of Isaac CSGO Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (non remastered) and Multi Theft Auto Grand Theft Auto V and FiveM Rainbow Six: Siege Rocket Legaue And some variety older titles (DOOM original, NFSMW original, NFSU1 and 2) Unfortunately I don't have any more money to spend, 350 000 is the max. Also, I do plan on using an old monitor as a secondary one which is 1280x1024, but it isn't that graphically demanding to run IMO. Regarding battery life: I do plan on working (doing light programming and writing essays) unplugged for more than 3hrs, that's why I am hesitant on the asus.
  4. These are not my only options. I am concerned about the strix's battery life as it has only 60Wh battery. I am not concerned about the size, but it would be nice if the laptop was 15" or more. I don't know much about current specs (what's best for the money, especially in notebooks bc of different TDP etc.) since ryzen 3000 series launched. I have a decent desktop, altough its GPU starts to downperform even in 1080p (rx550 2G), but when I'll go to college I need something somewhat portable to transport as I don't plan to bring it to dorm/apartment.
  5. Hi First of all, sorry if I make in the post or in the replies any grammatical errors as english is not my native language. I am looking to buy a notebook (ASAP, bc HUF is going downhill and I need it for studying reasons aswell). I have been looking at 340-350 000HUF or 1000EUR approx. I have found two https://www.digiprime.hu/laptop/asus-rog-strix-g17-g713ic-70241-elado https://www.digiprime.hu/component/virtuemart/noi-laptopok/lenovo-legion-5-17-73321-elado my question is: should I buy the legion 5 with worse graphics but better CPU or no? Or can ya'll recommend any from this site? (it is the cheapest in Hungary AFAIK) Thanks in advance! [4:43 PM]
  6. HUF is Hungarian Forints. My max budget is $105US, but I want to spend less if possible. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 550W thermaltake psu with no 80+ rating if I know correctly.
  7. I'm trying to change my previous cpu (athlon x4, now I have the ryzen) to 8gb ram. Then I will buy the 970. Thank you.
  8. If you click on "this PC" it shows my current setup. It's: MSI A320M-Pro VD/S RYZEN 5 3600 8GB 3000mhz 128GB ssd with 1TB 7200rpm drive 550w thermaltake cheap 30$ psu. I dont remember asking this question on the forum, nor if I'd seen that post you were mentioning.
  9. Hi! I want to upgrade my current GPU (AMD/ATI RX550 2G) to a more powerful one, but I don't really want to buy a new PSU if not nesecearry. I have this PC now. I was thinking about 2 choices: either an RX 480 8G (AMD stock cooler) for 35 000 HUF (roughly $105US) or a GTX 970 4G (ROG STRIX) for 28 000 HUF (roughly $85US). I know that the RX480 outperforms the 970, but I only want to run about 10 games and do a bit of video editing with it. The game that requires the most performance is RDR2. PS. Sorry if my english is not very good, I hope you can understand what I wanted to say.
  10. Hi So my problem is that I got a new SSD and a 2Tb HDD, I installed windows on the ssd (I had an old HDD before) and now only the ssd and old hdd show up. I tried everything I could but didnt manage to get it working Pelase help
  11. Hi! I have an old server that I got for free and I'm planning on building a new gaming rig. I would have to buy a cooler for my CPU, and I wonder if there is a way to mount the server's cooler on a mainstream board. If there is, is it worth the time (or money) or shall I buy a new one? Sorry if it is not 100% understandable, I am not a native EN speaker

Okay, thanks. I will replace my PSU.. I was thinking about either the CM V-series or Corsair TX series.. Which is better? Or which would you recommend?
