Skiiwee29 got a reaction from TetraSky in Long, but excellent, article by Steven Sinofsky (in charge of Windows when it went through the EU wringer) on Apple's DMA compliance
Please provide more context than just posting a link to start the discussion. Why do you find it interesting/excellent? What sticks out to you as being good, bad, harmful etc...

Skiiwee29 reacted to IkeaGnome in I'm not at liberty to discuss
See, she swears up and down it's mine. I don't remember ever losing my virginity though.
Guess we'll just go with is.
I'm just playing. It is mine.
We'll see. We've been talking about it for about 2 years now. No matter how well we have things lined up and talked about something will always come up and not have answers.
I think for us, 1st will be most stressful, 2nd will be "worst". We've been fighting her immigration paperwork so the kid is going to be born overseas to travel here as soon as we can get them over.
Thank you!

Skiiwee29 reacted to Needfuldoer in Help running long network cable
You don't need that. Don't overthink it.
Here's all you need to get Gigabit to your outbuilding:
150m LC to LC SM2 Single Mode fiber
Fiber to Copper media converter with 1000Base-LX SFP transceiver (2x)
Run the fiber between buildings (inside a conduit), stick a media converter on each end. Boom, done.
These should be equivalent:

https://www.amazon.se/glasfiberomvandlare-europeisk-strömförsörjning-SFP-sändtagare-leveransen/dp/B08ZN8DNV5
If you want 10 Gigabit, you'll need switches with SFP+ ports and 10GBASE-LR SFP+ optics instead of the media converters. Other than that, the idea is the same.

Skiiwee29 got a reaction from Needfuldoer in Help running long network cable
Use fiber to connect the 2 sides if you have innerduct and conduit between the 2 buildings. Then you can either get a media converter to convert back to electrical or get a switch that has an sfp port

Ah, I missed Sweden earlier:

Two of these would do 🙂

Yah, I've run 100g optics like that over a 1m cable for years without issue 🙂

Skiiwee29 got a reaction from GoStormPlays in Unable to create a review...?
Not to my knowledge. The email for the review is sent to the account email of which the order was made under. Only way would be to ask the owner of said email if you can write the review when they get the email. I could be wrong though on this information. Im sure someone from the LMG store team will chime in at some point to answer these questions definitively.

Those wouldn't work out of the box without some couplers and LC to SC patch cables as well.
The converters are SC connectors (stubby/fat connectors) and the fiber linked is LC (long/skinny connectors).
If you can find converters with SFP ports instead then you could get an SFP module like was linked above (make sure it's single mode if you use the cable you linked) and then you'll be good.

They send an email link for the review process to prevent fictitious or scam reviews.

Skiiwee29 got a reaction from Needfuldoer in Is my PC low (I know it isn’t low but just to add to the list) mid or high end
Is there any real point to this thread? Seems rather pointless from what I am reading.

Skiiwee29 got a reaction from Linuswasright in Is my PC low (I know it isn’t low but just to add to the list) mid or high end
Context is key. Just randomly asking what is my PC does nothing. Context that its in relation to a debate/conversation you and a friend are having help lend credibility to the question rather than a seemingly pointless post.

Skiiwee29 got a reaction from IgniVellex in Bauldar gate 3 opinion
BG3 is literally Dungeons and Dragons done correctly in a game format. It does take strategy and all your choices have consequences even if not apparent immediately. It is a very very rich game in terms of story.
