  1. Running into an interesting problem with no solution I can find.

I have a router, the QNAP Qhora 322 and when I enable IPv6 on it, my speeds are drastically neutered. Normally with just IPv4 I get about 8gb up and down on speedtests with Ookla's speedtest app and Command Line tests. But, when I enabled IPv6 on the router, it goes down to about 2.5gb down and 1-1.5gb up. (first world problems I know, but I have to test this stuff for our network since I work for a FTTH company). Its possible its a network IPv6 issue and we do have a maintenance window tonight, but that is just for IPv6 DNS only.

Router Firmware is fully up to date as is my NIC which uses the Marvell AQC113CS chip.

There's a particular Broadcom WLAN chip from the late 00's that'll do the full 54mbps of 802.11g but on 802.11n will only hit 300kbps.

Gremlins inside the hardware are the cause.

This would be a pretty bad gremlin imo if that's what it ends up being. Can't downgrade firmware on the routers either to test if it's a bug or not with a particular release.

  2. Not uncommon in new loops. Takes usually a week or 2 in most cases, but can be longer, to work them all out. Best way is to constantly cycle pump speeds to collect and push the air through. Tipping gently side to side as well helps move the trapped air out.
  3. Hence why I said basics... Not advanced. He does a decent job at explaining the basics and concepts. I haven't watched his videos in many years so he may have changed, but he was decent several years ago.
  4. Network chuck is a good channel to learn basics of networking. https://youtube.com/@NetworkChuck?feature=shared
  5. Think I have figured out maybe why I can't find a mouse I 10000000% can use.... My right hand is odd...

What do I mean? Well, the part of my fingers where it meets my palm aren't properly aligned or something. In my right hand, my index finger floats slightly on Symmetrical mice.. but my left hand fits perfectly. I think its because of this slight imbalance of my hand shape that causes me to be not 100% happy and comfortable with a mouse.

For real...maybe I need to design my own mouse... 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Somewhere between ambi and ergo is my sweet spot. Honestly the g pro x super light 2 is near perfect in shape, but the buttons and scroll wheel are horrendous.

Just bought a Corsair 75 air and buttons are fantastic, probably best I've ever felt...but suffers in my hands due..... to my hands... Also ordered me a glorious model D 2 pro 4k/8k edition last night... I loved my original model D but the build quality was complete trash. Everything I saw in reviews with the d2 was vastly improved and even boardzy recommends it. So fingers crossed.

Maybe just go leftie with your mice 😂

Get a trackpoint keyboard. Mice suck.

  8. Moved to troubleshooting because you're troubleshooting why it's not running as you expect.
  9. Probably will never happen for 2 reasons. 1. LTTs audience is largely young so marketing lighters and alcohol themed merch would not be good for brand reputation and sponsorship opportunities. 2. LTTs not going to do something if they feel like they have nothing new or exciting to innovate with.

  11. Man I hate that I can't be 100% satisfied with mice. Like right now my Ideal Mouse would be a GPX Superlight 2 body with the switches, buttons, and scroll wheel from the Razer Viper pro v2. Logitech Buttons feel so bad compared to Razers. Only issue with the Viper pro v2 is the shape, just not quite tall enough for me as I am a relaxed palm/hybrid claw person and like to feel the mouse in my palm slightly. I know its an asymmetrical shape, but it feels like it slants to the left a little instead of being perfectly symmetrical.

I'm sad corsair stop making the Saber, that was my go to mouse and when I went to grab a replacement they were gone. I didn't even realize it
G502 fully weighted down is fine.

I do have a g502 light speed on my desk too ...

  12. The notification you got was from a data breach site that was breached itself. It contains data from a breach the forums suffered 10 years ago in 2014 or 2015.
  13. No because it too uses dsc to get the full 240hz. HDMI 2.1 is 48gbps. To do 4k 240hz uncompressed you need about 55gbps. Which only dp2.0 can do currently.
  14. Yes, with dsc. Plouff just did a short circuit today covering this monitor.
