SALTY RANT TIME!!!!

So tired of all the OMG RTX CARDS... should I GET A 1080ti or 2080TI or BLAH BLAH BLAH... WHO THE F*** CARES!!! Guess what? We dont know how the cards perform. What we do know is that in the past, there have been performance numbers given directly from NVIDIA at the launch/unveiling event that they say shows the gains from previous generations... Guess what? THEY DIDNT HAVE THEM THIS TIME!... Chances are... there is minimal gains and they didnt want to highlight the lack of gains, but focus on the ray tracing aspect being added...

STOP posting a million and 1 threads asking which card to get and WAIT until September 20th when the NDA likely lifts for reviews of the cards and see what they actually can do before even thinking about asking...

Going to take a break from tech forums for a while to cool down...

Hey there. I searched google for "Should I get a 2080ti" and I found this post of yours. Just wondering if I should sell my 2x 1080tis and buy 2x RTX2080tis instead?

    Just kidding. :P
I think the biggest performance increase will come in the form of games that support DLSS that will effectively offload the Anti-Aliasing tasks to the tensor cores. Seen plenty of posts about Ray Tracing which is likely to absolutely tank performance, but I've seen very few asking about DLSS. AA/SS can have a huge impact on performance, and if you can offload that then you should see some decent performance improvements. But we will really have to wait until reviewers get their hands on the cards and do some tests with DLSS vs AA and see if it actually works or not.

Yep, just tired of constantly seeing should I get X over 1080 or 1080ti.. like they expect us to have magical numbers we can pull out of our ass right now.. gets frustrating AF. Happens on all launches, just not GPUs.
